I did hear management at my company having to look at how many employees they had because they would be fined for diversity lacking or some rubbish if they had over a certain number of employees...

We're in a very white region of the country though -.-

"Equality of Outcome" philosophy, which is espoused by the feminist agenda and all politics and big tech that align with that agenda, is the cause of this.

This is the defined state of affairs under Equality of Outcome philosophy.

Yeah, you can't solve racism with more racism. The trouble, however, is proving that a candidate was less capable than another and yet was chosen anyway. One candidate went to an Ivey League school, the other has 10 years experience at a successful company - how would you prove that one of them was chosen because of their race?

So far, I think the only viable option is to encourage whistleblowers. Only those inside the process could prove that the process isn't fair.

One of my friends is a manager of a software team for a large online video platform (which shall remain nameless) which is owned by a large search-oriented company (which shall remain nameless). He told me that he is forced to take on a certain quota of "diversity hires" or his bonus and reviews will be negatively impacted. He is even forced to take on those diversity hires in a variety of roles rather than giving them junior roles just to fill the quotas.

The real work in his team is done by people with PhDs in physics, supported by computer scientists and mathematicians. The problem is there simply aren't enough diversity hires available who are qualified for that extremely technical work. So he ends up taking them on for admin roles and giving them fake job titles. Such as a person who maintains a spreadsheet being recorded as "mathematician" and having been taught to write simple formulae in google sheets they are "programmers".

Everybody knows it is a stupid game, but it is great for public relations. Unfortunately, it can also backfire. He said that one of the spreadheet formula folks asked if she could apply for a job as a programmer in a different team that she had seen advertised. And he ended up encouraging her to do so. Astonishingly, the other team accepted her, presumably as a diversity hire doing more made up work.

The legal precedent has been set. Companies are at risk of being sued if they hire any race significantly more than other races. And the more disparity of races there is in that company, the more risk they are taking of being successfully litigated against.

Colleges/Universities have to deal with the same thing.

It really depends on the situation. In some industries, skills cannot be measured objectively, and diversity is needed, for example it has been proven that children need role models that are similar to themselves, so having all white teachers in a school in a black neighborhood can be a problem. But in some places, there is also a push to diversify just for the sake of doing so, as a PR move. The good thing is that in the US, any discrimination in hiring on the basis of race or sex is illegal (with obvious exceptions for things like actors, models, etc.) so if you have evidence of it happening, you can take legal action.
