I was having this exact thought earlier and I saw someone else comment about it.

The short story is that the environment people grow up in has a huge effect on their perception of ideal relationships and what they're attracted to.

People that have grown up in unsafe environments, or environments where people fight over scarce resources, recognize that inherently, power and the threat of violence is the only thing that keeps people safe.

Speak to anyone who grew up in the "hood" or an unsafe environment and they'll be able to explain this very well. Things like physical strength, physical size, popularity, and access to resources become much more value because everyone is pinning for them. Confidence becomes absolutely essential because giving off an air of weakness is a direct threat to your safety. American Hip Hop culture being the easiest popular manifestation of this. The way that toxic masculinity is celebrated is a direct result of economic conditions that mean violence is always on the table.

Women that grow up in these circumstances also quickly come to recognize this. There are some women who are attracted to almost cartoonish levels of masculinity. Hood guys whos think will start a fight over anything/always posture and hold frame even if they're obviously wrong.

If you've never been around this culture or talked to people who grew up this way, take a second to consider that you may be missing a big part of the picture.

Being blue pilled is a privilege. In the real world before modernized infrastructure and industrialized/automated society, many aspects of the Red Pill were just accepting reality as it is.

This isn't to say that EVERY aspect of the modern Redpill is a result of this, just that the Blue Pill was invented by corporations and Disney to market to middle and upper class children and privileged society.

Thoughts? CMV?
