Depends on what "looking to eager" looks like. Blowing up a stranger's phone? Might a little much. Other than extremes though I think most guys will roll with it.

If a woman weren't 100% eager in dating then I would slowly lose contact with her. I'm not playing that game of "who can be less interested". I understand that you can be taken advantage of by being vulnerable but you also can't find a man without being vulnerable in the 1st place.

Be yourself. You cannot keep up a facade forever. If you tend to lean clingy, you will eventually find someone who likes it and reciprocates it. And vice versa. As a woman who dated men who changed their behavior and attachment style once they had me, I say to them you should have been yourself so I could have vetted earlier more properly. But they robbed me of doing that by not showing their true selves and wasted my time. By being your authentic self you attract your best match. Yes you will repel people but you wouldn't be in a happy relationship where you could freely be yourself with these people anyway. (This is a great feeling btw!) I think the only exceptions are when someone is on the extreme ends.

You have it backwards. See, both men and women project their mating mechanisms onto the other gender.

What do men want? What is the male fantasy? It's literally a guy sitting in his underwear at home drinking a beer and watching a game. He gets horny and a beautiful, naked horny woman magically shows up at his door and they start having sex. The plot of every porno ever. In other words, men want easy.

So they go out and throw themselves at women, thinking if they make it easy for the woman, the woman will make it easy for them. But that's not how it works.

So what do women want? What's their mating mechanism? You will get a clue by looking at their typical dating behavior. Waiting to have sex, not showing too much interest, acting coy. That's the behavior they want in men. They want men to be hard to get. They want to work a bit harder to earn his interest.

That's the disconnect. Men love easy women. It's women who think that makes them desperate and worthless.

The problem is that many, if not most, functional adults already do this. And women will also never be as incentivized to do it as men due to biology

90% of guys saying this mean: be both people on the date. Ask them out, plan the date, show up looking like a million bucks, run the entire conversation including all flirting, initiate all the physicality, pay for at least half of the date, and fuck their brains out. And also thank them for everything they've done like showing up looking like a man. Very importantly, do all of this, but without ever making him feel emasculated and not necessary.

8% of guys just want you to give more than one word answers, help in the planning process, help carry the conversation, and also be as enthusiastic about all potential physical interactions and especially sex as them. And if you could pay half as well, that'd be great, but be extremely appreciative of everything they've contributed.
