Boy had mother who was active in the opposition party.
Boy was molested by LGBTQ+ activist.
State-funded media used a roundabout way to publicly out the boy's identity.
Boy received mountain of texts from classmates and friends on top of members of the party in power.
Boy committed suicide.
Party in power blamed his mother for not paying enough attention to him.
Party in power claimed that his mother is using this politically.

What horrible human beings.

The Lad’s information was released in December. The Lad killed himself in March.

I can’t imagine what he went through in those months. Rest in peace, lad.

Pretty much nobody likes having any shred of their sexual past as a subject of general conversation unless it was something they chose to brag about, but even that can backfire.

Say whatever about sex abusers, but as we can see here, and so many other examples, society is as cruel or worse.

The headline is inaccurate you see. This young man did not kill himself immediately after his name was revealed in December. He killed himself after people ran their mouths from then into March. And they ran their mouths the way they always do....with shaming, with jokes, with hushed voices, odd glances and stares....with ostracization.

But the article avoids talking about that and instead tries to blame the radio station and I guess "political opponents" of his mother.

But society will never blame itself for anything and I suppose the writer knows that and wants to avoid backlash while telling a different truth than the usual story.

Both sexes know what it’s like to be sexually abused.

But only men and boys know what it’s like to be sexually abused and then have to survive in a society that tells you it doesn’t matter. It was funny. You’re lucky. You can’t be raped.

I have this made-up scene in my head where I’m trying to teach my hypothetical son what to do and how to protect himself if he’s ever sexually assaulted. I think about this scene a lot. I seriously don’t know what I’d tell him.

Go to the police? Like they’ll believe you or take it seriously. Even if they do, it’s not like it’ll end in any meaningful action by a prosecutor and it’ll only expose you to the facts of what happened to you more. You’ll have to constantly recall and explain your trauma to people who don’t care.

Go to therapy? Maybe... but sometimes that does nothing if not makes it worse. Therapists are often extremely sympathetic to feminist ideology, so they logically are incapable of recognizing the misandry in the situation. A buddy of mine once went to therapy and was told that he now knows how women feel and what they have to go through.

Open up about it? To who??? Your friends will laugh at you. You’ll demote yourself in the dating world because women will see you as weak and pathetic. They don’t want men who are hurting. If your secret ever gets out to the masses then you’ll definitely be treated worse.

Seriously. I do not know what I would tell my son. If he’s ever sexually assaulted, that’s the end. There will be no help. There will be no support and guidance by a world that loves him and is sorry for what happened. He will have to bottle it up and carry it with him forever. I as his father can love him, but I’m not a replacement for the society that he will have to participate in. He will have to constantly see initiatives taken by institutions like universities, government, non-profits, healthcare, and so much more, that are all trying to help women, while men are left to rot. He will have to watch that happen and keep his mouth shut or be hated for speaking up about how men are being discriminated against as victims of sexual assault.

I think one of the reasons I always entertain this hypothetical is because I was that little boy and I tried to get help and it was always just made worse by the resources that claim to help. Even now as an adult I’m constantly reminded of it. Like I’ll watch a movie and it might joke about men being raped (very common movie trope) and I instantly just get reminded of how I was the butt end of that joke.

I hate it here. I fucking hate it here so much.

Sorry for the rant. Just thought there might be people relating to the original post and wanted to post this so they know they’re not alone
