This was in a post on a celebrity I follow on Instagram whom I'm now very tempted to unfollow after seeing this. As usual making violence out to be a "women most affected" thing and completely ignoring the fact that men and boys are also victims of violence, and are also shot and killed, and suffer abuse from intimate partners. Disgusting how something is always made into a gendered issue. It reminds me of UN Women's tweets how they always warp something to be "women most affected." Like the tweet that called for women journalists to stop being targeted, despite the fact that overwhelmingly most murdered journalists are male. Apparently women and girls are the only form of life worth caring about and protecting.
