They are using money/status to get the girls which implies fake attraction. I’d say this is the case 80% of the time.
It is possible in warm approach environments, if you have a really good personality and have interacted with a girl over a long period of time that she comes to really appreciate your personality, she can get attracted to you. However, that girl can only be maximum 1 point above you in looks, 2 points is a stretch. So if she’s a 8, maybe you’re a 7, minimum a 6.5

From what I noticed, hot girls look for guys with high status or money. I rarely seen hot girls with average guys who didn’t have these traits

I don't think I've ever seen this, ever honestly. Are you sure you're in touch with what people look like? Most people overestimate objective attraction. On the truerateme sub there's a graphic depiction for both men and women and % of population people should review occasionally. 7/10 women almost never walk around with 5/10 guys in areas you'd see because if they are with 5/10 guys, those guys have resources that the woman never needs to be in public. She's carried around like a prized possession.

Maybe would be worth hitting up high end restaurants and stuff to find such matchings.

There's a good chance that you're under-rating the guys and possibly over rating the girls. Most guys are rated at below average but that don't make sense.

I dated an average guy not too long ago. It was because we talked for a long time and got along really well. The tension built up and the chemistry ended up being super good.

Dated for a while but in the end, having really compatible personalities and chemistry was still not enough. We had too many differences so I ended things.

Aside from maybe not rating them properly, what I have found out and even experienced myself is the luck factor, which is often overlooked.

These guys are often from her social circle and normal enough to not ruin their chances. So basically, they were in the right place at the right time. In other words, they were where there were other people (women included), socializing, and met a girl who felt like getting a boyfriend and he was ok-ish.

Also, there's a chance they have way more than what you think...the last average guy with a cute girl that I met, had a not average at all salary, and the guy before that one had inherited big money and literally bought a good job position. Others had holiday houses in exotic/cool places or were co-workers of a higher position. Well, and some were interesting in general or had a great personality I guess...

Being social and active is often enough, honestly. I'm below average and live in hermit mode for health reasons, still when I manage to go out enough and socialize I end up finding someone, not necessarily a 7, but if you want a 7 it's also about not dating the first 4-5 or even 6 that you meet. My only merit in those cases was being there not being too disgusting, boring or stupid, literally.

From what I understand, they look for whether you're following your passion in life and confident about where it's going. The 2 things ultimately decide if you're content with urself. If you're no, how would you be able to keep others, that depend on you, happy

This is anecdotal experience, of which, doesn’t disprove the stats that show that mainly the opposite type of guy can only date.

If we want to use anecdotes, when I go outside the only guys I see dating are super tall or good looking.

I also have a large friend group and the only guys that can even get a girl to look at them are the two who are 6’3 and 6’5.

Not sure where you live, but as someone who has spent a lot of time facing the public, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an average guy with anything better than a 5. Usually it is taller decent looking guys with a fat hog at their arm.

If you see an average guy with an attractive woman, that guy has a significant amount of money.
