What I am so shocked about is that some many people in this subreddit went out and watched the movie opening weekend. With the number of posts on here no wonder the movie is doing so well. They have been getting free rent in the sub all weekend.

I don't even blame the comments for the mindset they have. When I see a movie hyped like a lot, I try and go find rotten tomatoes audience reviews, surprisingly, they were way too high for this movie.

I obviously can't explain why this is, but I guess it might be due to an audience bias, I mean, I am yet to hear a man (straight or gay) talk about how he watched a movie about barbie, never happened. And frankly, it doesn't hold much appeal to me either, I would rather watch Oppenheimer

It's a funny satire on the feminist movement. The movie sticks out that women just overdo it with blaming the men, and men just wanna have fun.

Okay what I wrote is utter bullshit. I wish it was just a satire but apparently, many women think of men that. Honestly I've never seen a movie where men are a joke for simply being a men.

First it hurts me when Barbie has anxiety and Ken is too busy running around looking for horses to even acknowledge his feelings. Like he wouldn't be a mess since Barbie is treating him like a doormat.

This movie was not just sexist toward men. It was dehumanizing, brought men to being a simple accessory, to being a sum of his manly gadgets, to a girl they can get and apparently abuse since abuse is manly. To finally being a fucking pushover (but I am kenough).

I feel bad that I had to spend money to watch it. Ryan Gosling performance was great tho.
