In April 2022 my husband said he wants a divorce, he left in July 2022, we went to couples therapy in August, stopped after 6 sessions. Saw him once in November then he stopped talking to me and exchanged a handful of texts. Since then saw him once in July 2023 to discuss what to do with the flat we own. He said I can buy him out, I said yes. He said he’s sorry he hasn’t filed yet, I said in a jokey tone that it works for me as I want to stay married and in a more serious tone that I respect his decision. We have no kids. Why has he not filed for divorce? He won’t see or speak to me so what is he waiting for? Would be great to get the male perspective, is there a more suited chat to put this in?
