The woman wanted to see all the photos on my phone - which I let her do to humour her and I showed her the photo I had taken of her 6 yo girl with me and her father. She told me to delete it. I did so in front of her ... no arguments.

Yesterday I went to the bar again and she was the one serving as her husband was away. I ordered an expensive cocktail and then I politely asked if could speak to her. I reminded her how her daughter had jumped on me in front of her father and together with her father I had bought her a cool ice tea from the bar. I explained to this woman that I have children of my own but I do not have daughters and that without thinking I had snapped a selfie with me and this litle girl to send to my wife.

I said nothing of the fact that the girl was still there on a late Friday night mingling with half drunken customers. Had I called the police they would have taken the child away from such an irresponsible mother.

Her mother told me: it is just that I don't like men to take photos of my daughter.

So it is OK for a 6 year old girl to mingle with drunken men and women on the most busy day of the week (Friday) but a married man whom she knows and is a friend of her husband is immediately a suspect because he snaps a selfie with the little girl and her father.
