It's all fun and games until you realise no one actually cared for you as a person, and now you're not even an option to anyone because you have an STD for the rest of your life.

I'm sure I'm being mean and cold here but I feel it's better not to make light of what can happen to either a man or a woman that chooses to freely have sex with anyone. Personally, it also seems to me that those in polyamory always eventually leave that lifestyle, and they have a much higher risk of leaving it with a long trail of hurt and broken attachments, and also a history that tells anyone that hasn't lived that way that they shouldn't be trusted.

Second sentence alone should ring a bell when it comes to single mothers. The fact that she has a kid is not necessarily the main issue with it, It is the fact that it should take most of her time, and that is the way it is supposed to be. The secondary problem with her having a kid is that you should consider whether or not she is relationship material at all, since she is not with the daddy.
