it's a mostly terrible sub. but a good eye opener/reality check.

many of the women there are what those of us in middle age can expect to deal with:

many believe they are financially secure (whether through their own success or a good divorce settlement) (most of any gender are mistaken and are nowhere near prepared for what's coming for most of us-a long slow expensive decline)

many are abundant in friends, family and other responsibilities and only want the perfect man in their life

most claim to be seeking 'the spark'-something that most of them are biologically unable to even feel any more (see menopause interruption of oxy and other chemicals/hormones in the body)

the opposite side of the coin-the cougars-which there are some in that sub. bitter towards age appropriate men. flaunt their easy access to hot young fwb's

most women there are the same as most women everywhere-they are only interested in 'chads'.

i'm involuntarily celibate at the moment but in no way 'an incel'. but this part of their philosophy is not wrong at all

Oh yeah. Not just paying for coffee and dinner; it is more systemic now, entitlement without any responsibility across the board is the name of the game. Boomers raised a generation of entitled narcissists.

It's a culture problem, not a women problem. Women are, and have always been, the same. As a culture, we have allowed and encouraged their natural hypergamous nature to run uncontrolled and unchecked. Combined with simps and loss of traditional masculinity, and here we are.

The thing is, there will always be a group of guys so hard up and desperate that they will hit up these women. And with social media, women now have dozens if not hundreds of these guys doing just that.

This keeps their egos in the clouds. BUT the guys they actually want are walking away, super selective, or dating younger. They can't internalize the disconnect: "Society says I'm hot shit, my friends say I'm hot shit, all these guys online say I'm hot shit = I'm hot shit. So why don't the Chad's want me???"

To be 6 is not 100% their fault. Again, it's a culture problem. I had an extensive conversation with one of my 50y cousins about why she couldn't attract the men she wanted. After a few hours, the lights sort of clicked. But everything I was telling her was in opposition to what she had been taught her entire life!

Either ignore these women or use them for recreation / practice.
