Quite frankly my BIL was falsely accused and doing prison time. False accusations are common. It would be good to talk to your parents and line up legal representation if needed.

In the meantime, keep quiet at school and among friends because it is a lose lose situation if it comes out or you bad mouth the girl.

After a couple months some one might be trying to build a case, but since you are under 18 probably not.

Not sure which country you are in. If the United States, (1) Hire an attorney, and (2) do not talk to anyone about this - if the school or police try to ask you, tell them that you will not answer questions without your lawyer present.

I’ve experienced this at your same exact age. A girl I didn’t even know accused me of rape, she went to a different high school and her parents contacted my parents. It was insane and very scary. Thankfully it got shut down really quickly because the girl who accused me of rape said we were also in a relationship. My dad asked her to spell my last name and she couldn’t do it and the entire situation ended. The shitty thing here is the damage to your public image, people don’t really care for the truth and always assume the worse.

I can’t give any advise that anyone else here hasn’t said but good luck to you bud. I don’t recommend discussing this with anyone unless it’s your lawyer and only to your family if you trust them. Some people unfortunately have shitty families.

Any false accusation is horrible, so sad this happened to you. I do have one question about the advice everyone is giving. Everyone is saying "lie low", looks bad if you verbally attack the girl. To that I say, "perhaps". I think it depends on the situation. In this case the boy says he is doing that. If the involved person says that, it is probably true. Sometimes though, it might be best if the boy defends himself to his friends and acquaintances.

If you get a false accusation, and you're walking around with your head down, and she's telling everyone you're a rapist, then you're done. Even if there's no legal case, your reputation is gone. You might even get beat up. Defend yourself, and you might have a chance. How good a chance will depend on how verbally gifted you are, and how popular the girl is and how good she is with words. But, in some cases, it might be best to fight back in this war of words.

I got falsely accused nothing got better, for a long time. I had to lose 80% of my friend group and fell into deep depression for years as I got whispered about in my small town. Years later she came clean but the damage was done at that point. I wish there were some words of wisdom I could give you that didn't feel hopeless. If I got one thing from it, I found out who my true friends were. The ones that remained checked on me when I became suicidal and didn't let me suffer in silence alone. As cops were never brought in with my situation it was all social circle issues. Girl never apologized to me, but came clean to a previously mutual friend who did apologize for not believing me, my accuser told her she wanted to ruin me because I hurt her so bad breaking up with her.

Just be careful what u say to friends or anyone that's involved with her or her friends as everything can be used against u. Ur doing the right thing by having legal representation. If u haven't been charged and put on bail u should be OK as they clearly don't have the evidence at this stage to take u to court

I was falsely accused of harassment, I have a sense of what you’re going through. It’s hard, keep your head down, try to keep your emotions in check, and do not approach her under any conditions. Get a lawyer and don’t talk to anyone. This sort of thing can really mess you up. I thankfully have a job that moves me around a lot so I was able to move to a different state. hey young brother. I have been false accused in my life the worst was when I was your age. Mine was not SA but the same basic kind of lies by teenage girls who don't know how damaging their lies are.

I feel you, I feel your fear and everything that is going on. Here is the key, Get all your story, and evidence up. I see you were talking to a lawyer. but keep talking to your parents and friends Keep speaking your side of the story.

One take away I got is people who want to believe the lie are not people you want in yourlife. The bitch did me a favor at a young age and purged a bunch of bad people out of mylife. It was hard when the girls i liked or someone i was into was hesitant or distant with me because of her, but in the end it worked out.

It will work out for you as well. Keep on your lawyer to get answers, if your lawyer thinks its a good idea to go for defamation, please think about it if it is right for you. you are far from alone! there are lots of men who stand with you.

I fuck a lot and have for a long time and these types of accusations were always something I was extremely paranoid about. The way I would mitigate this and some advice for you in the future is I would document the dates with pics, car dash cam, notes recalling the evening to the girl, building and house security cams etc as well as having an audio recorder in my bedroom, and asking to video record when I would fuck em, but only about half would agree to the sex vids. Anyway, in my nearly 2 decades I never had any accusations but if need be I can provide about a decade of evidence if any of em decided to, today.

Possible try to gain the exact story that the girl has told and collect evidence and wittnes as alibi for exact date and time the girl have accused you of, if possible in future they try to make it against you atleast u'll be prepared with ur innocence

Well, it's a bad situation, but remember that it could be worse, if you lived in Brazil, for example, the so-called "Maria da Penha Law" would make you preventively arrested at the time of the accusation and you, not the accuser, would have to prove that you are innocent. If you don't succeed, you will be condemned even without proof, as has happened several times here.

Such a horrible thing to happen to someone so young. Did you have sex with her? Sometimes the parents of the girls would be the ones to accuse (I've witnessed it happening to my best friend). Be best if you never associated with girls until you're ready to marry one. But even then, be very cautious. It's a dangerous world out there.
