I had to change my IG pick to something random, as once I changed it from my ex and I to just me, I started getting lots of scam DM's.

And I've definitely had some scammers, even here, try some stuff.

And in fairness, I think females have it just as bad, possibly worse, with fake messages, scam links, D picks, etc.

But unquestionably men are serious targets for romance and affinity frauds. And they can be dangerous, even fatal. Get an armed crew, lure a single male out for a purported “date,” then render unconscious, even kill. Steal wallet, phone, and watch. Try to withdraw as much money as possible, and make as many electronic purchases as they can, over the next twelve to twenty-four hours. Especially unlocked/carrier-free smartphones and laptops, ultra-easy to transport and sell for good money. Very well known playbook.
