Peter in Office Space perfectly portrays the aspect of being relaxed, honest and not caring about results. Being like that frees you from being locked up in the prison of your mind.

But you have to keep in mind, that he is not much socially calibrated and does not act like someone, who knows, what he is doing. Being uninhibited alone, will not automatically give you social skills and results.

I’m probably a little rigid in this viewpoint, but Hollywood has largely messed up men’s (or society’s) perception of how attraction works in the real world. We logically know that it’s a form of fiction, but any depiction of dating and attraction in movies shouldn’t be taken seriously. Entertainment only, no lessons to be derived from Hollywood. Reality is the only thing that matters.
