Because women are humans & humans have primitive desires that are rooted in hundreds of thousands of years of adaptation.
Also, most women are not attracted to gangsters per say, but rather strong, confident men who aren’t afraid to be aggressive sometimes. Only in degenerate cultures with a lot of poverty, are women attracted to criminals.
Most men are sexually aroused by breasts, hips & ass. One might ask, well why not be attracted to elbows? Well because we’re not wired that way.
We’re wired to be attracted to signals of fertility, youth & anything that’ll aid procreation. All of which can be shown in the breasts, hips & ass of a woman.
Women on the other hand, being the weaker sex (fvck the feminists that have a problem with this statement), are naturally going to be attracted to traits such as confidence, CONTROLLED aggression, strength & ability to acquire resources.
If you were a physically weaker being who was also responsible for caring for your offspring most of the time, you would seek out a partner who is capable of showing aggression and bringing in resources to ensure you and your child would be safe.
For most of human history, there were no cops. There were no “politically correct” ways to behave. There was no “human rights” organization that would step in to pressure governments into making their countries safe.
If a woman didn’t find herself a strong, confident man and made the mistake of picking a guy because he was “NiCe”, she would risk death or worse rape, when other groups of stronger men decided to murder her loser husband.
While we humans have progressed a lot in the last few decades alone, you don’t change 300,000+ years of evolution with 20-30 years of relative global peace and prosperity.

Ok so fair enough, what exactly is attractive about a tattoo then?
[–]RomanH101 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just keep this in mind.
Women aren’t the disney princesses that just want a nice prince charming to come & swoop them to a happy ending. Despite what media and popular culture would have you believe, women are humans & the number one imperative of humans is to survive and create offspring, then protect those offspring so they can continue the cycle.
Nature is a b-tch, to people that don’t have the traits required to survive its many tests. So much like with other animals, females of most species will go after traits that will help prolong the species.
Whenever you deal with women, remember this. I’m not telling you be a caveman. I’m just saying you ask yourself this, if I were a woman and I saw me, would I trust myself to be able to protect me. If the answer is no, then you need to change.

Tattoos have been a part of human cultures for thousands of years. Often they were given to warriors or men coming of age. They signalled masculinity.
In the West, tattoos are symbol of edginess and rebellion, even aggression to some extent.
And all those are traits that women have always been attracted to since the dawn of time because those are the traits that have kept them & their offspring safe.

Tattoos currently represent taking the kind of gentle, safe risks that make someone seem fun. They retain the faint cultural memory of the edge they had back when having a tattoo could be a career-ender. It's an easy way of visually saying "I'm not going to be boring or fearful." It may not be true, but that's what it conveys.
Plus, tattoos are art. Art, by definition, is attractive! (and subjective)
I'm going to go a step further and say if you don't get the appeal, you should get one.
Go find a tattoo that has some meaning for you, whether it represents strength or something more personal (a lost loved one, something you're proud you overcame in your life...). When you give yourself the daily once-over in the mirror as you're getting out of the shower, you'll pick apart every little flaw in your body, but you'll always stop at the attractive tattoo you chose for yourself and think "well, that part is actually pretty great. I like that part." That confidence boost is why people get addicted to tattoos. Plus, then you're automatically connected to a subculture and always have something to talk to strangers about. "Your forearm piece is really cool, how long did that take?" And then you go to the yearly tattoo convention just for the hell of it, and you strike up a conversation with someone and you end up spending the rest of your life together and dying happy and fulfilled.
That's how enjoying fun things like tattoos works. You deserve that.

Great stuff.
Though I'd disagree with "subculture" about tats. Maybe "perceived subculture", because it's no longer uncommon. Among young women, it's pretty much standard.
Besides, perception is what matters anyway, right?
Both of your comments are great, by the way.

Makes you think about a person. What does it mean to him? Does he have more?
What have gone through to have such a tatoo?
[–]Whisky_Zero 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The short answer is that women like men who have power, money, confidence, influence, and are somewhat dangerous. You don't need to have all of these but you need some combination of them. Men like you're describing either possess or portray these traits, therefore women like them. It's a simple issue of biological attraction and they can't help it.

I feel like "cool" is being used as a substitute for another word lol.
Is this a real question? Everyone likes cool people, why wouldn't women like cool men? Its just rappers now bc that's what the trend is. In the 70s and 80s it was rockstars, in 90s it was grungy guys and so on.
It's like asking why guys like attractive women...wtf?

The title had me confused lmao
[–]WeakEmu8 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Don't you like hanging out with cool guys?
[–]Distraughtsugardaddy 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I mean yes but I’m not what would be considered cool these days. I’m also in my 30s so have less and less male friends. I’m not tatooed, have a regular 5-9, one could say I lead a very normal “boring” life. And it just seems I wasn’t give the tools early on in life to succeed with women or to be part of the “cool” circles

What do tattoos, guns, and cars have in common?
They’re expensive.
They are not immediately beneficial to the owners(aside from at least one car for transportation).
Ergo they convey expendable resources. Means he has money. Money he could be spending on her.
[–]fuckboychadlmao 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
They also convey danger, recklessness, low inhibition, which women can find exciting ie attractive.
[–]HerrLogic 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I think that’s more so that the guy is conveying he can face danger and be ok. I don’t think recklessness on its own is attractive.
[–]fuckboychadlmao 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It’s not the recklessness that’s attractive but the excitement attached to it
[–]HerrLogic 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It’s not exciting if the guy gets laid flat by the danger.
[–]fuckboychadlmao 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You think it’s a coincidence that the guy who survived bullet wounds, shark attacks, car wrecks etc, usually gets tons of female attention afterwards? No, it’s not.
[–]HerrLogic 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dude that’s in favor of what I said earlier…
“I think that’s more so that the guy is conveying he can face danger and be ok.”
You think you had some kind of “gotcha” against me but you got yourself…

I think it’s more that it’s attractive when people are confident and live life their own way / don’t follow the script. Maybe a paper pusher has more stability but that’s about it. Life’s short, people wanna have fun.

Women are into it because they like confidence, affluence, resources, and social proof. Hiphop also tends to involve fashion which Women are also into
