Also, don't do a dinner date. Take her out to run some "errands". Tell her "I have to go get some (errand) done, wanna tag along?" It won't cost you anything, comes off as passive (meaning you're doing it regardless of her presence) and you can work at building up some rapport with her in person. A date like this is non-threatening and doesn't imply any desperateness to get laid.
