And yeah if you’re tricking their psychology into being interested you’re not actually connecting with them on a deep level that’s probably why love feels phony now. Doesn’t mean you can’t still connect

I dropped it after reading 1/3rd of it a few times not because of its immoral or anything, I actually find it very interesting but I find the act if reading itself rather tedious.

I’m having an internal battle with this right now. I would consider myself pretty genuine and I’m always myself. It’s hard for me to come with terms with manipulating people, and it feels like that’s the way to go to get the ladies’ attention these days. They don’t really want someone who is gonna be straightforward and real with them off the rip. They want to go on an emotional roller coaster with a chad who doesn’t even connect with them. At least around my age of 22.

OP, would you actually recommend I read this, or do you have regrets? Would you feel better connecting with less women, but having it be more genuine? I’m curious as to your feelings about this question.

Note: before I read the book I have had almost no progress with her (I wasn't desperately trying to get with her, she was just eye candy and I wanted to hit but didn't know how to go about it).

One thing to keep in mind is that a LOT of things can technically "work" in seduction. The question is what kind of people one is attracting and what kind of people are being repelled. No matter what way you approach it, there's going to be some sacrifice involved.

What did you actually do when you "tried out the Coquette role on her?" What did you say, exactly? What did you do, exactly?
Have you had sex with her or made out with her?
What were you doing before and how exactly had it failed?

It's important to know some things about the author of that book because it directly pertains to the knowledge he was able to put into the book.

He doesn't have a background in psychology. Not even an undergraduate degree.
His background was in classical studies. Reading classical Greek and Latin literature.
He has spent a lot of time as a writer, and studying patterns in classical writing gave him some tropes and patterns to remix when he came up with his "seductive characters." But there is nothing in his background which would lend him any particular expertise in psychology to back up what he creatively wrote.

Whatever methods from the book you're using, it's affecting the results you see in two main ways:

It's attracting people who play games.
It's going to repel people who aren't interested in games.
Some people might not be game players initially but become game players if they're off-balance.

This book is a must read, now I can easily identify what she's tryna do and know why she's acting the way she is.

The book is very specific. in how it describes seduction. Take page 167, for example.

The author frames the start of the process as "Choosing the Right Victim."
He talks about choosing "prey" that is "susceptible."
He says the "right victims" are people who have a void in their lives, are unhappy, isolated, or could "easily be made" unhappy or isolated.

This is describing a very specific approach of seduction, namely going after people who are emotionally vulnerable, off-balance, or unstable...... or could be made so.

People like this exist, but not everyone falls into these categories.

What's more, this advice from the author is literally assuming readers need to weaken someone or make them off balance in order to have a chance with them.

This is not the healthiest thing. It can work, sure, but the people and relationships one is bringing into their lives with this approach will not be healthy at all.
