Its better to just immediately continue the conversation you were having previously when you get to texting.

I would have said something like, "You look like a nachos girl to me" and just put my name on the bottom and I would have sent that a minute or 2 after she gave me her number.

With this, since you opened with your name just respond to her "Hey" with that nachos assumption or something similar and carry on with the appetizer topic then transition into other topics from there.

Whether I meet someone in person or online I find that messaging them quickly and immediately continuing the conversation builds more rapport and gets them to be talkative faster whereas reintroducing yourself, especially after hours or days seems to reinforce the idea that you're a stranger and almost puts you back to square one.

If i could I could critique your game you shouldn’t open with a comment on her appearance (unless it’s clothes/accessories). This immediately shifts the power dynamic against you and it doesn’t add value to a conversation.

If she doesn’t have a bio etc ask her what she likes doing, see if you have common interests. You should qualify her first to see if she’s the kinda girl you’re interested in, this also makes her chase your validation, basically shows you’re picky therefore have options.

Although you may see it as a win that you got the number so quickly, you haven’t built any sexual tension or opened a topic of conversation, by you giving her your number you’ve again validated her for nothing and moved forward too quickly, which communicates neediness. You should instead slowly escalate tension by qualifying - bantering - flirting - sexting. Women aren’t usually this easy on dating sites as they know nothing about you, so building rapport is usually key.

As to what to do next you shouldn’t take my advice of slowing down, she obviously finds you attractive and is open. You’ve displayed confidence too which is one good thing. I would call her and say ‘I’m free X day X time, you down for a beach trip?’ Or something like that, it’s justifying the reason for getting a number and calling is much more intimate and exciting than texting.

I'd say involve her in an activity that fuel the date through. Check with one of the topic that universally agreed as a topic of interest

For example, tomorrow happens to be a day when most shooting stars would be visible to the naked eye in the sky.

See if she can see you on the day and if things are interesting , move on to the big finally of watching the stars , with a good calming playlist ( that you can talk about as well to find a common ground)

And if things went north for you , you don't get just an exciting first date.. you might as well get a first date kiss Kind of classy dates that girls dreams of is she is that kind of girls

You're overthinking it. By now you should know two places that have a great appetizer, you ask which she'd prefer (ex. potato chip nachos or buffalo tots?) . Whichever one she chooses, try to riff on for a couple of messages (say something witty about what the choice says about her -- actually doesn't have to be that witty). Let her respond, riff off what she says, maybe sprinkle in little notes about yourself. Then once you've gotten a few replies to prove she's interested, you invite her to grab a drink and get said appetizer.

3-5 messages - get the number - set up the date.

Not text for days or weeks on end.
