Due to my lack of diverse hobbies/interests/social groups/etc, I occasionally cold approach a woman in my everyday life. Once or twice a month. It never works out normally and it feels nerve wracking even saying hi. But this is not the experience I’m talking about at the moment.

Today, I was just at the grocery store picking up a few things when I noticed someone familiar. It was a late 40s- early 50s woman that I see time to time at my local gym (I’m 23). She’s not a 9 or 10 objectively but definitely quite a MILF though. Anyway, I walk up to her with no hesitation saying, “Hi insert her name, how’s it going?” She immediately recognized me and we chatted for a few minutes. I thought it went really well with the open body language, active listening and engagement on her part, and the overall positive vibe in the convo.

How to create approaches like this effectively? Is it as simple as getting involved socially with things you love where you’re familiar with others? This feeling of freedom from nervousness is almost intoxicating. I almost like I didn’t even think about approaching her, it just felt….routine.
