Do any of you here who used to have low SMV struggle with accepting yourself now that you have a higher SMV?

Actually, yes. Though honestly, I don't know that my SMV was ever actually low because I started scoring pretty quickly after I started trying, but in high school, I had terrible anxiety around girls so I never talked to them. But when I first started, and succeeded, I'd often be confident in the moment and then think later "What the fuck happened? She went for me? Funny, I must have tricked her with my game--I'm a faggot." But as it kept happening, it became less of this crazy phenomenon and more of the norm to me.

But boy, when I got into my first LTR (still on-going, 2 years, one-way open relationship) with a chick I considered hot as fuck... I just did not understand for the longest time why she wanted me. I did what I could to hold frame in the beginning, and apparently I did because she's still here--but now that, too, is a lot less of a shock to me. It'll come for you too. Become familiar with success.

Uh no not really. The results of your new higher SMV should be noticeable to you and everyone else, especially if it was a drastic change. No reason to doubt yourself if the evidence is right in front of you

im asking this because it seems like how ever much progress i make its not good enough and i am still in the dark places inside my mind i was before when i was my previous self. my outer appearance has changed but my mind is still lagging behind very much.

Yup, took me a few months to get used to it. Went from 280 with no muscle to 190 15% bodyfat in a year of monk mode.

I was in denial for a while, a fatass in an athletic body.

The best way I got over it was just to go out and notice all the women who I never would have dreamed of getting that were all of a sudden interested me, I had girls who never gave me the time of day before all of a sudden being super nice to me and trying to be part of my life, and girls who I was orbiting all of a sudden wanted to branch swing. Coworkers doing me favours randomly and inviting me to events when they didn't ever talk to me before. This did wonders to my confidence, as I had hard evidence to show that I was attractive and my brain couldn't not accept it.

If your smv has truly improved that much you should see a similar effect as me. If not you probably arent as high smv as you think.

Its called "Fat Girl Brain". Even when a fat girl loses weight, in her mind, she's still a fat girl. They are usually down to earth and rarely give cold rejections. I'm sure it applies to guys too, but we are less likely to give cold rejections anyway, formerly fat or not.

Yes, I don't believe it. I was potentially ALWAYS high SMV but I never knew it.

Now I have too many women. Too many "plates." It's overwhelming to be honest.

I am told I am "beautiful" and shit like that. It's really, really weird.

I simply wonder if there are loads of lonely people everywhere. I was married and then didn't give a fuck. So voila.
