I usually play indie rock through last FM. I actually like to put it on before I leave the apartment, that way it's playing when we walk in.

Last movie I put on was vanishing point. That was actually a mistake. The car crashes and engine noises were a big distraction when we started making out. I had to get up to turn it off.

I had a buddy who brought a girl home to watch a movie, and then proposed "Full Metal Jacket" as the movie to watch. The girl suddenly remembered her...whatever that she needed to do far away.

So war movies are probably a no-go.

You can go with funny scary, or romantic, in my opinion. Stay away from the drama's, though. Always play Led Zeppelin IV, side two.

Playing pandora or Last.fm should be a last resort due to the nature of not knowing what's next. Plus if you put on music you've been listening to, it's a lot more interesting than throwing on the radio. It's all about feeling it out, but try to understand the type of girl you actually want and the music should follow that. I like indie-dance chicks and my playlist is always going to work, on the rare occasion that someone strange comes along, then I have albums that are universal.

Pick up the album "Re-Whipped". Its a remix album of a classic Herb Alpert album. Its actually really good, it has a good vibe, and chicks dig it and probably never heard it before.

I've fucked many a woman to that album.

My go-to movie is Only the Strong. It's so stupid that the girl always loses attention real quick. It also makes for good comedy, although it's a serious movie. And if things don't escalate and there's a pause, it's easy enough to MST3K the movie.

As for music, I'm all about instrumentals. RJD2, some NIN, a couple of old (i.e. 70s) R&B tunes, things that can set the mood without listening to words.

I don't ever put on films when trying to seduce a girl for the first time. I keep the lights low, put on music, talk to her, and tell her to come to the bedroom when I know the time is right. TV never comes on, it's a distraction.

I usually put on music that is ambient and energetic, like The Xx or Explosions in the sky.

I'm not a big fan of putting on a movie when I've brought a girl back to my place, but if you've made a plan to get together to watch a movie and you want to make a move, you should definitely watch Out of Sight.

It's not a heavy-handed choice that will immediately send signals to her that you've put on a sexy movie so that you can sex her. You're not selecting Last Tango in Paris. It's just a fun, stylized movie about career criminals doing their thing. But it IS a very sexy movie, the sexual tension between George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez is palpable, and their love scene is one of the sexiest you'll ever see.

If the girl you're with has any sexual response in her at all, this movie will put her in exactly the right frame to receive any advance you make.

Two movies work for me, eventhough we never end up watching it: "My Best Friend's Girl", because girls always end up saying "omg I love dane cook" and in the movie he's a super asshole to them, so he's seducing them for me, all I have to do is just grab them with confidence and start kissing; the other movie is "Young People Fucking"...self explanatory.
