Of course. There's two components to attraction: value and comfort. Value is the more carnal part of it, where she sees you as a valuable "alpha" type of guy who will provide for and protect her. Comfort is the more logical and emotional part, where she actually feels happy, safe, and fulfilled by you. You need to have both in order to make attraction happen, and you need them to be in somewhat close levels to each other. Being "freindzoned" is really nothing more than not having enough value and too much comfort. She feels happy, safe, and fulfilled by you but doesn't see you as valuable.... yet.

Here's the thing about value: it's not that hard to demonstrate. Most guys are so bad at showing value that it really doesn't take much to impress most girls. If you make it seem like she's not your only option, that you can be with other girls, that you're able to have interesting conversations, and that you don't care what she (or anyone) thinks of you because you're confident in yourself, you will almost definitely create enough value to match up to the comfort level you have already established.

I've hooked up with several women that I had known for years in various contexts. The usual case was they were in a relationship and we were 'friends with tension' as I like to call it.

I will say that I have 'fired' a few women who gave me the 'just friends' speech and then gave me grief for seeing other girls. Basically, treating me like a boyfriend. In fact, I'll usually flat-out proposition them at that point "Hey, take me off the market hotshot!" and then DQ them if the don't move. I've it go both ways as well.

It's unfortunate but the reality is you do have to cut ties when it gets toxic like that.

Haha. Look at my history of posts and I was actually in a situation a few months ago where this exact thing happened.

I had a one night stand with a girl. We then met up the next day and had sex again.

After that, I imagine that she thought that she was giving the sex away 'too easily' and that she didn't want that dynamic between the two of us so when I agreed to meet her she told me, "ok, let's meet up again but be friendly *insert my name*. Just friends".

At the time, I was very shocked. I just agreed with her over text but I was upset. I was wondering where I went wrong, why she had friendzoned me.

It's only now that I realise that she hadn't friendzoned me. She just didn't want to appear too easy. I ended up having a casual relationship with her for a while and we had sex multiple times after she told me that 'just friends' line.

Look at a women's actions, not her words. Important stuff.

Of course, but mostly as a variation of "I am not a how". In my late teens happened many times that a girl comes to help her at math, in breaks we listen to music and laugh, it turns late and she calls home to ask permission to stay overnight. My father is very authoritarian and everyone trusts him (even pities the fools who would disobey). What nobody ever asked is where I will sleep. My father removed my bed years before and in my room was only a couch and a desk :)

Teens are weird. We always swore that we will just sleep...

PS. I guess the parents were seeing my grades and the girls, well, will never really know because they never did such things and they were seeing me as a platonic friend

If a woman says that to me, I take it to mean she doesn't want me to initiate, so I back off and don't initiate. But it doesn't mean she won't initiate. If we enjoy each other's company, I'll stick around and make sure she knows I'm available for fun if she wants it. But that I'm also having fun with plenty of other women.

Sometimes being available for some fun when she wants it is all it takes, if she knows you and trusts you. That's my experience so far. I tend to be very patient. I've had great sex with women who waited years to get to know me before having sex with me. And it was extra fun due to the anticipation. And some women have sex with me, then ghost me or reject me, then come back to me a year later for some fun. I always welcome them back. I've even refused to have sex with women who wanted to, and did everything else in bed other than intercourse for months before we finally fucked. It was the best sex we both ever had. But that's just my personal approach. That's not for everyone.
