If people did this to me I wouldn't appreciate it.

Being instantly available just shows that you have no life really.

Doesn’t mean it doesn’t work

Idk about this. I take a while to respond back on apps but it can also cause the girl to lose interest in my experience. Ive gotten more replies back (eventually still ghosted though) when I replied faster.

Depends on the context of the situation. If yall are having a deep personal convo answer quick or she will definitely lose interest.

These people will get what’s coming to them.

Well, i do it because is good to dont have distraction when im doing my things, like working or studying. This is a way of faking that you have a busy and interesting life, but if your life is really interesting and busy, you will naturally need to answer people later on social media, without needing to fake it or pretending it.

If you're talking to multiple girls, it follows that they're talking to multiple guys. If you're waiting before replying, aren't you handing the guys who reply more promptly the advantage?
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No, because they're needy and over-available.

I think this is counterintuitive, if you don't message back fast enough she loses interest and moves on. These days you're probably not the only guy she's talking to and interested in her.

I turned off almost all notifications a long time ago for different reasons. They're annoying

This is just good for life in general. 90% of the bullshit your phone thinks you need to know about is completely worthless.

Works if there is already some interest, otherwise, you might be shooting yourself in the foot. Trick is to give enough attention to peak their interest, then draw back a bit. I still have not mastered this cus I'm the one always on the receiving end of late replies.
Lately I'll hit girls on Whisper to practice technique, I will regularly play a quick game on my phone in between messages to spread out the time between responses. Testing my willpower at other times has been important too.
Here's something that I've tested at least 20 times in the last 2 weeks.
If you're texting a girl and you do something to spike emotions that she doesn't like, or you make a bad joke while calibrating obviously say sorry. Then imediately say, "I won't get mad if you block me." She will usually counter by trying to get your approval by saying she isn't like those other girls and that it's ok. As a bonus not a single girl has blocked me after using this tactic even days later. If she does block you then you win because you used your "mind control."
Girls can block for a variety of reasons but it would seem that the primary one is that they have so many guys messaging them that it's easier to just block the boring ones. If asked in real life, "why am I getting blocked" the girl always responds with, "you must have done something." It took me all year to find out what that "something" was, and it was "you're too damn boring for me to care and I have 50 other guys to entertain me."

Also turning off online notifications/last seen. I have it off on WhatsApp, Snapchat (Maps, I only enable really close friends to see my last online/location), and instagram. Leaves them wondering, and gives them less room to be mad when you straight out ignore them. Also for people who struggle with the anxiety of waiting for a text back and get mad when the girl’s been online, it doesn’t show their last online either, so just use the rule of thumb that you should take around as long as she did to respond.
I’m still trying to figure out if leaving the Instagram last seen on helps or not because some girls might like to keep checking that shit all day and that’s reason for you to be in their head all day (especially considering it takes a bit of effort to see Instagram’s last online)
