Mental/Frame Shifts

  • Outcome independence: Removing emotional attachment from the way an encounter, interaction, or test ends. The value lies in the learning process of doing these things.
  • Abundance Mentality: When it finally clicks that you can fail a thousand times and still have a million more opportunities to succeed. Best way to breed this? Go out and apply the methods in the way you're supposed to, and screw up. Over, and over, and over, until you're desensitized to it.
  • Self Improvement: Consider yourself a constant work-in-progress, and act on improving yourself. You can always make more people smile, lift more pounds at the gym, and read more books. Breed confidence in yourself that you will continue improving, and that success is temporary - the moment you succeed, you will naturally look to the next step/goal. This is why basing your happiness on the outcome/success is futile, because you'll always be chasing it and never be happy. Embrace rejection. Not everyone will want you, and that makes life pretty beautiful, actually. Instead of trying to be your role models, you have to identify that you can only be the best version of yourself. Always attempt to break down things a step further. This way you can analyze things and come up with a solution that you can then implement. If that solution doesn't work, analyze it again and come up with a new one. This is the pattern to improvement.
  • Calibration: Basically, just knowing how to behave. This is very relative and transient in nature, so it's really just a matter of throwing yourself into enough situations and identifying your screw-ups in order to learn patterns in human interaction and how to behave based on those patterns/situations.
  • Work ethic: Nothing worth having comes easy. It's going to be tough, but if that's what scares you or makes you want to give up, you're a hopeless case and need to change your perspective if you ever want to amount to anything.

Behavior-Focused Items

  • Fitness: Fat, skinny, tall, short - Strength train. Eat clean. Try Stronglifts 5x5.
  • Escalation: Assume attraction and move forward. For kino, start off by establishing that you are comfortable touching a person, and follow up with slightly more intimate touching from that point forward (but remember calibration - if you get a poor response, take a step backwards.)
  • Hobbies: If you're boring, find ways to not be. Go out and get genuine interests. They can be "lame" by social standards, but if you can express passion and invoke emotion when you talk about it (this scene from MI:3 exhibits it incredibly) - which segways into...
  • BODY LANGUAGE: Probably paramount in regards to your outwardly characteristics - 90% of what you convey comes from body language, not the words you say. (edit: I was corrected - about 87% of the words you say come from things other than the words you speak - this includes pronunciation, tonality, body language, voice inflection, and other things.) Deliver your words with good eye contact, good posture, confident tone and a voice projected from your chest. You can say anything about anything, and if it's delivered with good body language (edit: and enthusiasm/other nonverbal communication), it instantly becomes more interesting to talk about (or rather, YOU become more interesting to talk to)
  • Conversational ability: Learn to utilize jump-off points and while knowing how to converse is important, don't be afraid of silence in conversation. Those who are comfortable with it hold the key to the conversation. (edit: Learn the concepts of comedy. Take an improv class. Read Churchill or Shakespeare. Understand what makes comedy funny. It'll really help your interactions.)
  • Fapping: Don't do it a whole bunch. Once a week or so. (edit: Lots going on in the comments with this one, so here's my thought: While sexual exploration is good, many men of our time are addicted to porn. That being said, I'm no /r/nofap fanatic; personally, my "addiction" must not have been that bad, because I was able to go from every day to once a week or less without much thought. But if you're having a problem with it, fight the good fight and break free of it!)

That's all I can think of for now. All these things are what's responsible for my life progress and self-improvement. Enjoy!

edit: FIRST GOLD EVAR! You guys are so awesome! I hope this stuff genuinely helps - in all areas, not just in regards to attraction. It has for me; life obviously hands you lemons every so often, so every time I get down or upset, I come back to at least one of these principles (almost subconsciously now) and it makes me progress, learn, and improve. I urge you all to try it!

another edit: Shit tests come up often in this sub, and I can bet that many of us didn't start out as the most alpha and commanding people in the room. Hell, even those people get shit tested hard. So here's the best resource I've found on shit tests - it analyzes the concept well and gives you ways to handle them - this is basically wit and conversational skill, but in a slightly more hostile environment.
