So I've been reading. Had some success last week. It was pretty easy and she turned out to have 'problems' but still I marked it up as an improvement from nothing.

I am out with friends at a bar for a friend's birthday. I only allowed myself 2 beers - drank water the rest of the time. My brother leaves to meet a girlfriend and I hang for a little while.

I decide to leave early - nothing happening and no sense in missing last bus and pay expensive cab home. I end up seeing brother and his GF at bus station. We are standing in line with 6 other people. I see this very attractive woman (9/10) and tell my brother "WTF, I'm just going to sit next to her on bus and talk to her, got nothing to lose".

We wait for a long time, bus never shows. All of us (including the target and the other strangers are pissed). Eventually I start talking, I ask where everyone is from. Almost everyone is from my town but 2 people (random guy and target). I say 'let's all get cabs out of city I can drive the two of you home."

At this point target expresses her annoyance with the drunk people. She says something like "I just don't want to go in cab with those people (drunks). I say "no problem". I take control of the situation, get 8 people total outside. Negotiate cab fares.

I had only the workings of a plan here. Get us in cabs - ensure I am in cab with her. I offer to bring her and random guy to their town (next town over) to reduce cab fare. They agree.

I talk the cab drivers down in price. We try to get out of city and we had major problems. Very late at night. I tell cab to go another way. (Bro and his GF in other cab). We get back to my place and target and random guy get in my car. I am praying he lives on the way to her place. He does. Drop him off.

I bring target to her destination. We chat. She is an actress. Lives on other side of country half the time. She is staying at a friend's place tonight (female). I get to her destination. Her friend isn't there and it turns out we have 10 minutes to wait until friend arrives.

We chat a little about her work, I ask what movies she was in and she tells me (I never heard of it). I said "Oh I'll write that down" and she says "oh here, here's my card". We chat some more about her ethnicity and about language. She has lived in other countries, does modeling, etc.

I do not let off that I am intimidated at all. I only show mild interest. We starts to talk about somethign she was writing and how she lost data. I tell her that I am in IT and offer a 1 minute canned response with regards to best practice. I tell her I don't have any cards but to call me if she needs help. She asks for and takes my number. We chat about how people of a certain country she has lived in are rude. Exchange some pleasantries. Friend arrives. She says "You are so sweet for bringing me home. I am sorry you had to wait, you must hate me." I reply "No, I don't." I pause and then say "Well, okay, maybe for a minute" (while looking in her eyes and smile. She starts laughing. Kiss on each cheek and she leaves.

So I get home, google search naem on card. She is on IMDB. I talk to my brother and boss (close male friends) and my bosses response is in title.

Sadly I am in agreement. Yes, I have nothing to lose if I call her but I am SURE i will get just voice mail. Not sure what I expect to get out of this Tolstoy post. Maybe some advice on next move.
