They will talk about you when you're not around and they will all know the details of your screw-ups. It will not be fun to deal with.

Case in point: I had this beautiful girl at my place -- she's more of a friend of a friend now, someone I knew years ago but lost touch with. She knew I was attracted to another girl at the time, but didn't seem to care much. A few days later she found out that I went to the bar with the other girl instead of her.

And so: jealously ensued, or some odd mixture of female emotions that I haven't quite figured out yet. Now I can't hang out with her or her best friend and neither can my friends as long as I'm around. How awkward.

And if it wasn't a friend of a friend? I could have just left the uncomfortable situation behind and moved on.

Anyone else have something similar happen? Did you ever successfully manage it?
