How do you distinguish between a <do X for me> shit test, where you're being made to jump through a hoop

Reverse the situation. Would you ever ask (and realistically) expect her to do the same for you if the situation was reversed (baring if you are doing it to increase compliance). If you wouldn't expect her to do it for you, she's probably messing with you, and should be laughed at. Generally, if it makes you feel like a little bitch, don't do it.

I keep reading that shit tests are how a girl eliminates guys, but that seems so...implausible. It sounds like its nothing more than teasing, and if you respond by teasing back, you show her some fun, and demonstrate that you're an attractive guy

Some guys get really defensive when teased by a girl, and this is unattractive. I've been flat old told by girls that they do shit test. they haven't used the phrase, 'Shit test'. They just told me they like to try and walk all over a guy and also try and shake his confidence.

Even in the case of a failed shit test, I don't see how you can't come back from missing a tease or two.

Yes, the "Orgasm Auditions" were absolutely a shit test. Don't think of it just from my own performance. They said they were doing this all night. They must have had a dozen or more men do their little shit test, and none of them went home with these women. They were doing this to get their kicks seeing men jump through hoops, and to get validation.

I think I mentioned that Mystery said one valid response to shit tests is to make them jump through one of your hoops before you jump through theirs. I probably failed this test immediately by doing the "fake indignant" attitude and protesting, you fail a shit test by allowing the woman to disrupt your frame. But since I was being fake and over the top, it might have worked, I can't tell. But then I made the women do the test on my terms. Still, the women were only interested in getting their kicks, so once I complied, they were done with me. Or there was another possibility, they never considered any man would pass their shit tests, and weren't prepared for that. What were they going to do, take me home for a foursome?

The shit test thing is about power and what you're missing in your understanding is that the hb9s and 10s will relentlessly shit test you, and if you fuck up she'll replace you. It's not just about who gets to stay in her life, it's also about what "slot" she puts you in. Is it the therapist slot, friend slot, benefactor slot, minion slot, or her pussy? Girls have lots of needs, and girls of a certain personality are always trying to figure out what you can do for them. You may score different results on the test than what you were going for, but you won't find out until you try to fuck her and she says "oh, let's just be friends" or you may fail outright in which case she'll just ignore you or tell you to fuck off.

Shit tests are practically devoid of sexual tension. It is not flirting. It is information gathering, a test of your mettle. They aren't usually presented cruelly or maliciously, they are usually just framed as normal, expected behavior or conversation. That's why they're so insidious, they can sneak up on you.

If there is teasing, i.e. sexual tension, then she sees you as being closer to her social status--it is therefore flirting. The same rules apply:

*number one being always respond (whether shit test or tease, whether flirtatious or deadly serious) from your frame

*number two being control your emotions, don't be moved from your state by her, whether she is being a bitch or a vixen

*number three being an extension of two, withhold from the bad, reward the good

In answer to your first question, use common sense. If it seems like she really needs your help with something, chances are you should help her. For example if her arms are about to fall off from carrying her bag. However, this really isn't a realistic scenario. We as humans rarely put ourselves in situations where our body can't physically handle something, so you should assume that more often than not, it's a shit test.

In response to your second point, shit tests were analyzed by the mPUAs of yore like RJ, Style, and Mystery. They integrated them into their curricula because, after 100s of pickups each, they thought shit tests were significant. If you're just getting started in pickup, you should probably follow the advice of the greats. I, as a novice, have seen girls pull obvious shit tests in every day life.

Consider the free sample guy at your local grocery store: You go up and have one of the samples, in fact maybe you have a few, because they are free. Now what relationship do you have with the free sample guy? Thats right... none whatsoever... you didnt even get his name. Most guys are free sample men and then get mad when women dont give anything in return. Well, why would they, the samples were free!

Now imagine if the free sample man would then ask you to pay for the samples you took. The audacity! They were just free a second ago! What if the free sample man would start to get mad at you, freak out or overall cause a scene because you didn't put anything back into your 'relationship'. You'd laugh at him and think he was crazy. (AFCs are free sample men)

Consider again the brand name clothing store at your local mall: They will sell a pair of jeans for $200 and people save up for them, drool over them, talk to their friend about how awesome these jeans are, they'll compare jeans, etc. Why? Do the jeans really cost that much money to produce? No. Are they really well made jeans? Not necessarily. People buy them because they believe that more expensive things are more valuable. They will buy the reputation and brand name of these jeans. Because they are sold as 'must have items'. People will naturally put more value in things that they have to work hard to attain.

You have to sell yourself as the $200 pair of jeans, not be the free sample man.

I hope you see where I am drawing the parallels. The point is: Don't be her bitch. You can be nice, but don't give yourself away for free. You have to charge her for your time. This is where good salesmanship comes along.

A shit-test is a girl haggling price with you. She wants to see how low she can get you for. If she can get you for under a certain 'price', then you are just another toy she got at the dollar store and she'll drop you when she finds a man who won't do anything for her, because he boasts himself as 'too expensive' for her.

The "shit test" isn't about teasing. It might not be on purpose, even, but you're about to show her whether you're a push-over and a tool or whether you have some self-respect.

Never in your life do you want to feel like a tool or a push-over. If complying would make you feel like a tool then don't do it.

This applies to anyone, not just girls.

If it helps, pretend that she's a guy. If a guy that I've known for an hour asked me to hold his spot in line, I would. If he asked me to drive him to the airport, I wouldn't. Treat the girl the same to prove that you didn't put her on a pedestal. This makes her understand that you are at least her equal. She doesn't want to date down, same as you.

From a girls perspective - usually it is teasing. Most often in fact it is not some "shit test" but rather you actually do want help with something. The only thing I can think of as being a shit test is when im trying for eg. to put a coat on and dont want to put my bag on the cement (i.e we just stepped out and its cold) etc. but that is not done as some "prove you are a knight in shining armour" more "please hold my bag i got to get dressed quickly and i hope this person is nice enough to do it". i do it to gf's as well, so guys are not special in this regard.

If a girl asks you to hold her bag or coat in this situation, and you put it on the ground, she will just be like oh ffs and pick it up. If she thinks you put it on the ground because "you are a real man" she will think you are a shit head. If you make a big deal of it she will probably again think you are a shithead.

I think the rule is - if you overreact to what you percieve as being a shittest you will look like a total moron.
