I was just at the grocery store and ended up walking side by side with a very cute girl who was missing her right arm. Judging by the scars, I'd say she had a recent accident (there were also some skin scars), my guess being that it was a motorcycle accident.

Anyway, I REALLY wanted to approach her but couldn't get over my curiosity. She also seemed to be in a hurry (but she may have also possibly been self conscious and trying to move quickly). I decided I was not in the right frame of mind to talk to her.

I would imagine that in a situation like this, the best thing to do would be to talk to her as if there was absolutely nothing different about her, i.e. treat her like the totally normal person she is.

I'm interested in hearing stories where you may have approached someone in a similar situation, and how it worked out.
