I think it's easy to overanalyze things and frame every minute detail of our lives in PUA context. Maybe this is beta behavior. But maybe it's simply some guy who wants to do a nice and memorable thing for someone he cares about (Is surprising your mother on her birthday beta? Is buying lavish Christmas presents for your nieces and nephews beta?).

Agree with fungus. Try not to overanalyze every single detail of your life in PUA contexts. It's not all black and white.

It's okay to show affection, love, and generosity. These are not beta qualities. Being alpha is not a constant attempt to evaluate who likes who more. It's about having a strong frame and leading the interaction. Nothing in this video gives the impression that the guy is doing otherwise.

It often comes down to calibration. Yes, it's not usually the best idea to put a lot of effort to get the girl at the early stages of a relationship. That's because it's likely she hasn't done anything to fully earn your attention and effort. When she's already in deep in love/attraction and you guys share a relationship at this stage, it's okay to be romantic if it comes from a place of inner strength. It's okay to show your feelings. At that point she's already earned your attention.

Honestly I think this was badass. It shows this guy is driven and aims or excellence. I don't think saying those things is supplicating at a proposal at all. Plus the proposal is something women compete with each other with.... like they all want the most romantic one and be able to brag about. As long as he is not a supplicating in his daily life, it's fine to do stuff like this. I think the more you really embody being alpha the more you can be romantic or do things like this without affecting you.

Who gives a fuck. You shouldn't be concerned with being this or not being that. Throw yourself into the fire, that's all you have to do, and you will figure it out for yourself.
