Hi Seddit! Just sharing some realisations and hoping to get a few advices.

Backstory: So I've had my eye on this girl for a while now but couldn't set up a date due to our conflicting schedules and I've just been too busy with college and work. Anyway, I called her up last night and got to catch up with her (we spoke for about 20 minutes). Eventually, I brought out the fact that I'm not doing anything next Saturday and suggested that I take her out then. She said she couldn't do it BUT offered that she can do Sunday instead (apparently she was just waiting for me to finish my exams etc. She normally spends Sunday with her family but to make time for me like that, that to me was an IOI. But then again, she ).

However, instead of readily agreeing, I told her that I'll get back to her cause I needed to 'check' with my 'secretary' for my schedule. Basically, I didn't want to put the ball on her court and let her decide. My mindset then was that 'I'm the prize', she can't just get me like that.

And from that moment, I just realised something. Previously, I'd jump straight to a girl's offer of a change in date (especially if I had an IOI like that. no questions asked, even if I had something on, I'd reschedule it). But this time, it's different, I AM the prize.

I'm sick of getting friendzoned and from the posts here, I'm slowly learning ways how to prevent that from happening. By the way, I've been doing intjpua's touching exercise and found that people actually respond to you better if you project yourself more with touch.

Here's what's confusing me -- I was brought up to think that picking up a girl from her place for a date is the way to go. Buy her dinner, etc etc. But with this upcoming date, I'm actually thinking of telling her to make her way to our meeting place. The thing is, wouldn't she get turned off by that? I kinda feel bad for making her drive all the way to our meeting place when I can just pick her up and drive her myself. I don't wanna jeopardise a potential date.

I think my problem is I think too much about how I would come across to her. But see, I really dig this girl and I'm afraid that I might come across as if I'm not interested if I didn't make the effort of picking her up.

Also, should conversations on the phone (or even online chats) be short and to the point (that is, call to just setup a date)? I normally would try to hold a conversation as long as I could, but I feel like that by doing that, I'm turning into a 'friend' with all the chats with the girl. My logic is that, long conversations help me get to know the girl and her likes and dislikes (to see if we're compatible).

I also wanted to ask about the concept of 'push-pull'. I know it involves teasing and then is followed by a compliment (backhanded or not) and vice versa. But for me, I don't know how to follow up after a pull or a push. I end up being too harsh and can't recover, or too nice and sound lame.

Anyway, whatever happens, I'm equipped with seduction knowledge and ready to apply it. Thanks Seddit!
