This post will hopefully get a ton of upvotes, so I want to share something for some of the other guys reading it: notice how OP told himself to be a bit cocky. I think cocky/funny gets a bit hated on here sometimes, but cocky/funny is exactly the mindset I had when I started getting good results.

I'm speaking specifically to you guys who don't have much experience now: To you, the idea of "being cocky" will be a bit different than my idea of being cocky (your idea will be at least a bit tamer than mine). I URGE you, try to be pretty cocky the next time you approach a girl. Even to the point of arrogance. If you don't have much experience with it, it will help you. Guaranteed. The trick here is that you want to figure out where the boundaries are between confidence and arrogance- and my personal opinion is that a dash of cockiness is better than no cockiness. So push yourself to be cocky.

Also keep in mind, cockiness doesn't necessarily have to be shown in the words you say. You can just "think cocky thoughts" if you want. Picture yourself being awesome the last time you had sex- or just imagine yourself being awesome at it. Then let it show in your body language the next time you approach a girl. A little bit of cockiness can go a long way. Even a lot of cockiness can get you good results (why do assholes tend to be good with women?). Some of my easiest, most efficient, most successful nights were when I went in cocky as FUCK and basically told the girl she was gonna have sex with me (I did something similar this past weekend). Everyone has the ability to do the same- just realize, if you don't have much experience, your definition of "cocky" might be the same as my definition of "confidence." So try to push the boundaries. Even try to be arrogant. Do it at least a few times and see how it goes.

yes, this is something a certain portion of our former AFC selves should recognize. Even before you know what an IOI is, there is something that makes you jump about eye contact. you know what it means but you can't (or won't) connect the dots in your head, and if you happen to, you certainly won't act on it. It sounds like a joke after reading the conquests of "mpuas," but it is an important hurdle - good job.

Through this out the window. Are you shy around people you know, when meeting new people in a situation where you are comfortable/have control (like work), or someone knocking on your door at home? It's approach anxiety and you can overcome that through getting out there and approaching.

Shy is a label most likely placed on you by family/friends and reinforced over time, by yourself even. Fuck labels.

That's a good thing that you have a mindset of being cocky. As long as it's not arrogant which turns the women off, you're fine. It actually helps to be cocky yet playfully teasing at the same time to girls. I actually got a few to buy me drinks/shots which is flattering to me because it's usually the other way around when it comes to complete strangers.
