Seriously though, SedditElite? Gimme a fucking break. I would say the true "elites" that come through here could be counted on my two hands. If you're good enough to be considered elite, you're probably not going to be on here very much. You're either teaching, or busy getting laid. I appreciate that we do have some experts here (Curveball, Frogma, a few others), and I appreciate their time immensely, but let's stop this nonsense.

Here's what I propose:

  • Delete AskSeddit, UniSeddit, and SedditElite. Lock them up and direct all traffic to here.
  • Have a weekly "ask stupid questions thread", a la r/fitness or MFA for the oneitis questions and basic beginner shit.
  • Flair will help identify the guys who know what's up. FR-posters get flair immediately, just as incentive for more people to post them.
  • Any way you want it, don't stop believin'.

I think we need to get everyone on here, and instead of having a bunch of subreddits just start posting weekly/twice-a-week thread topics like "High School specific questions" or "Tactics Tuesdays" or whatever, maybe a weekly thread where people share readings/videos that helped them that particular week.

Let's also have a primer on some Sedditquette. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism needs to be the default here, and anyone who just shits on someone (even if they're right) should be downvoted.

EDIT: Also, it's probably a good idea if we take the lead from other sub-reddits. What have they done that's worked? I think r/playdate has a great example of a sidebar, and r/fitness and MFA have done a great job of integrating beginners with the experts with weekly threads and the like.
