[FR] My first true pickup.

So here it is, my first real field report. I think it may seem a little uncalibrated compared to most of your stuff because I am inexperienced as hell. But here it is, make what you want of it. It is detailed because I want to see if you guys are seeing anything in my game that I'm missing and also so that I can remember lots cause I'm starting my little black book of pickup. Criticism is very very very welcome. Suggestions on how to proceed are welcome even more. The situation is bit unconventional but it is a cold approach of sorts.

I know it is a massive TL:DR but if you have some time feedback would have been great.

Intro: My mom made friends with some neighbours here. They came and visited us and their daughter came with them. I wasn't home so the girl left. I took the fact that she came over and then left when she realised I wasn't here as a kind of IoI. Also, social proof, I'm too busy to spend nights at home. So my mom decides to return the visit and I resolve to instead of being the nice guy as always, I'll run game on this chick. So I come along, I'm fully in the state.

She was in the shower when we came over, I run some simple rapport building on her parents, should they cause some problems in the future. I wait a bit on her to finish and she comes out. Hair all wet. Those short shorts and a tank top, I'd give her a HB8 in the current state but HB9 when she is all dolled up. I notice that she has some minor skin imperfection. Really, minor stuff, doesn't bother me, but she has taken great care to powder it up. I reason that one doesn't put on makeup just before sleep unless they are looking to impress somebody.

As I'm sitting with her parents and my mom, I bounce her inside (from the porch). She agrees but her parents and my mom move in too. Not ideal but I demand we speak English (we are both from non-English background) and since our parents don't speak English that well, they wont be able to tell shit.

She's just been accepted to to Masters in pharmacy or bioengineering or some shit. Smart cookie. I play on her intellect a bit, compliment her about the masters she laughs but not really into it. The sense of awkwardness creeps in (as it does for AFCs when they are meant to hold a conversation). But I decided to go in balls first. I joke with her a bit and neg her a slight bit (HB8:What do you want to drink? Me: Water will be just fine. HB8: Room temperature or cold? Me: Doesn't matter, either. [she takes a while] Me: Come on, you're a scientist you should be able to find some H2O before I have to leave.) [neg on something she is sure in followed by a roll-off/FTC]. She seems however to be fairly shy, especially for a HB8. So I back off a bit with negs. Maybe it's cause her girls are not around and she probably isn't the alpha female of her group.

So she brings me water, and I start running the proper game. I lean back to show disinterest and I look away periodically. I'm forcing the conversation in the beginning but she is eventually responding. I run her through few more negs, I call her "woman" few times. I joke casually and I get response. Permanent smile plastered on my face I go through little I know about her. I did DLV myself a bit by comparing my major with her major (I'm arts, childs play compared to her shit). But I give he a bit more attention and she seizes on it. We talk some light shit, I say I saw her rollerblading, we talk about fitness a little bit, she spews some bullshit bro-science related to fitness I know better but i defer to her "medical expertise". She asks if I'm into rollerblading, I say no but it doesn't sound like a bad cardio. She says I should come rollerblading with her. I take that as IoI and I tell her that I dont have rollerblades, but we could go ice skating (we live like next to a rink). She says maybe, but she had a major accident ice skating where she broke her jaw or some shit. I drop the topic like it's hot.

We are across from the table and I relise that it is bad for comfort building. I say I can't hear her really over our parents talking (partially true) and I sit next to her.

I talk about nightlife. I'm DHVing via social proof by talking about my friends all being in relationships which means my nightlife sucks. I also DHV via preselection talking about a female friend of mine who is hell into nighlife and tries to drag me along. Both technically true. She is responding, but I tell her that I frequent a club she doesn't like, she says she has to take me to some place close to where I go out normally. I give her non-specific yes. We continue.

Now this is where I fucked up. Somehow we start talking about religion. She admits that she is a scientist but doesn't really believe in evolution. I facepalm hard, I can't contain myself. I'm an outspoken atheist. if this shit could be any worse, I used to be a religions denomination she doesn't like. Kills rapport like a mother fucker. My game is going down the drain. I snap out of the state and start arguing religion. What an idiot I am. I DLV by saying some of the shit she is spewing is offensive. However, my view drops and I notice for the first time really that she got a beautiful pair. I decide... fuck this, this isn't about Jesus it is about pussy.

I don't back down fully off religious topic but I go fully G rated on religion. I tell how its fine that she is religious and that I respect that (I hate it actually but whatever). I am more politically correct that news. I display open mind and tell her that if she wants me I'll read her religious literature. I'm back in the state. We agree to drop religion. it seems to work, she is messing with her hair like insane. Like, she isn't letting go of it. Constantly touching it. I take that as an IoI.

I move back to her bioengineering work. I demand to see some of her reports and stuff. She is a bit shy but I tell her that I A) probably won't be able to tell shit from good stuff cause I'm arts B) even if I did, she can't be that bad she is in masters program. She tells she's gonna fetch her reports I ask to go with her. She says yes straight away. We go to her study room. As she's looking through her shit I do a bit of incidental kino. Not real kino, but I was definitely in her personal space, she didn't react or move away. I tell her that I've been thionking about cutting my long hair. She says: Nah it's cool. (maybe even cute, I don't remember exactly). We go back to the living room so our parents don't get suspicious and call attention to it ruining my game. I sit next to her, bit of incidental kino, she doesn't put up any resistance, she is explaining her biomedical stuff. We switch to music as a topic, by this time she is hell into the conversation. Leaning in a bit. She says she likes house music, I am not a fan and I let her know. I mention hip hop and she is apparently into it too. She initiates some kino by high fiveing me.I respond. Could be she is into it but could be she is claiming commonalities to increase comfort. I ask specifics about her rap likes, she doesn't seem to know shit.

I back off after that, lean back, roll off a bit. My mum at this point is looking like she wants to go. I decided to close this shit. I ask her directly: "Can I have your number?" She instantly says yes, no hesitation. I give her my phone she puts it in, I roll off a bit by saying that I have like 6 girls with her name. She suggests a common nickname "everyone calls her". I refuse, instead I ask her surname. She gives it to me.

As soon as I asked for a number she is busy planing when we can next meet. First she starts with "Text me when you're bored, I'm bored all the time". To me this seems like a shit test, she is asking of me to be available whenever she wants. I say that I'll see, no promises. Instead she asks what I'm doing this weekend. I tell her I don't have any solid plans yet but I'll probably hang out with my buddies. She thinks a bit and then decides she is busy this Friday and she will see about the weekend. I play it cool, no rush. She says next week she is available, and I say we'll figure out something. This is basically her monologue, except for the joking about ice skating and nightlife very early on, I didn't push for a date. I take that as a MASSIVE IoI.

I get up, joke with her dad a bit, confident I turn my back to her. No lingering looks no shit.

As we are leaving her driveway I shake her dad's hand. And verbally say bye. She is standing a bit behind her parents and waves me (there was no waving prior to this, she initiated it). I wave back and I stroll home to write this report while it's fresh.

What I did right: my conversation was epic. I am good at this, especially with somebody slightly more intellectual like her. I had fun DHV stories, I showed interest in her work and in turn demanded to me talk about history (I talked about Salem Witch Trials). I also showed plenty of social proof and preselection. And possibly physical attraction switch via the fitness thing. My body language was good for the most part, my eye contact was decent. I think I have her parents on my side (her dad definitely). I #-closed confidently like a boss. Direct #-close and she did not even think. I didn't display any major beta behaviour. My change of sitting position was smooth as hell and she demanded we see each other again pretty clearly.

What I did badly: Starts was noticeably awkward. I didn't kino too much (due to parents, I was thinking a bit about it but should she resist I couldn't play cool if her parents noticed). I showed some bad bodylanguage in the start and my smile wasn't too permanent. I deflected the fitness conflict of opinion like a boss but fucked up the religion bit like a proper beta AFC. I did recover pretty well I think. I may have showed too much interest. Hard to tell. I may have missed some shit tests. I clearly identified only one at the end.
