Sometimes I go to clubs/raves with the wall street journal and read it while smoking a pipe. I get approached a lot using this method.

I wasn't thinking this would be a good move but I recommend trying it out on a week-night.

I think that's the key. If you go out on Friday or Saturday night it won't be as effective. I think the atmosphere and psychology are different during the week than they are on the weekends. People are usually out for a specific reason on weekends, whereas during the week you're just grabbing a bite and a drink. I think that's the key to this: your intent. All the talk about game and confidence, you're sort of eliminating all of that by not being the one making the moves, instead you're just presenting yourself and the appeal is genuine (or, you're not intimidating, threatening, perceived as "This guy wants to get into my pants")

One time me and a friend were sitting in a fairly crowded bar doing a crossword puzzle. A lot of women approached us, and it made a nice topic of conversation.

The best part about it is that they are instantly trying to impress you by figuring out all the answers, so it sets up a nice dynamic.

Unless you're the type of person who actively reads and is reading somewhere because you want to, I don't suggest this. Any guy can take a book and go read. Those of you who do it for women are going to be more busy checking your peripherals than reading. This shit is apparent in your body language and easily read.

You go out to read and get read:avoid instead.

This was posted before by someone else and got a lot of upvotes last time. They had pretty good success with this odd little technique.

This has worked for me in my UNI libaray, just go to a nice busy area where people are aloud to talk. Get a nice good book and start reading. Its easy for a girl to ask what are you reading etc...
