Hey seddit, first time poster here.

I go to a small-town college and there's this girl that I've known for a while but we really only started to become more friendly within the past 2 weeks.

We share a class together, and we started recently to hang out more often. However, she's been doing some things which I'm not too sure are clues or whether they're just a part of her personality.

She's an extremely friendly girl, but what she does is that she keeps on teasing me, playing with my items during class (phone), and her texts to me have progressively gotten more and more friendly. The teasing is strange because although I have a few other friends around, I am the only one she playfully makes fun of. I make her laugh quite frequently, and we've have a few good talks. Also, when we're taking public transportation, she keeps talking to me even though one of my/her friend is sitting right next to her, while I'm talking to my other friend who's sitting across from me. She sits behind me and plays with my jacket, as if trying to get my attention. Also, she keeps calling me by this "name", and says that nobody else can call me that except for her. Atop of that, she keeps inviting me to various events that she's a part of, but I've had to decline due to other responsibilities. However, I must state this again, she is VERY friendly. Just the other when we were running in the rain trying to catch a car, she grabbed my friend's arm. Granted, they were standing next to each other, but I thought that should have been something to put out there.

My friend has told me that, while he's not sure if she likes me, it seems there is a definite preference for me over others. So I've come to you seddit, am I simply reading too much into it? Or is there actually something there?
