Hey seddit! I've got a question. Have any of you actually been in basically a best friends sort of relationship with a girl? I guess what I'm really asking is: is that possible?

So there's this girl (I'm a guy) that I'm pretty much best friends with. We're super close, we have a lot of comfort with each other, and help each other out with everything (including relationship advice).

Now, I know this is usually where a guy goes on and is like "okay how to I bang this girl and get out of the friendzone."

The thing is, I don't think I actually mind this. So, once upon a time, in my AFC days, when I first befriended her I was attracted to her and wanted something more.

But now, post-AFC, I much more confident and happy with myself. I've started to pursue other girls and had much more success than I used to. Keep in mind, I'm still very much a beginner at this. But I'm way better than I used to, especially in inner game.

And I'm still best friends with this girl. Is this weird? Am I just being beta around her? The thing is, as much as I like her and want to hang out with her, I don't think I actually want to escalate. Or if it'd be worth it even if I did. I figure there's loads of chicks to approach in the world and potentially escalate with, but here I have a genuine friend.

I think I've matured enough that I actually can just be friends with her and still get a lot of value out of it and give her value too. But still, I'm amazed that I can actually be best friends with her and not be butthurt.

Thoughts, sedditors?

TL;DR Can you really truly be best friends with a girl that you were attracted to in AFC days?
