I didn't come up with this but I've had a high success rate with it. Girls I hadn't spoken to for months were asking me when I would ask them out or even come over. I'll put a link to the original thread at the bottom of this post.

So here's the text message:

"Hey! I need to ask you something that has kept me sleepless and I want you to be totally honest with me. It might be awkward between us after this but I have to know how you feel. I have kept this in my mind for a while now but I think it's finally time I'll be straight up and just confront you.... I hope this doesn't ruin the relationship we already have. I just need to know and I don't see any other way I could get over this. It wouldn't be fair on me if I don't get an answer. I want you to tell me truthfully, no matter how harsh it is. I just want your honest opinion... Do you like coke or lemonade?"

Now the last part in italics can be changed to be more personal. I recommend cutting it down a bit because it's a little too long. I knew this girl that couldn't stop talking about chocolate so I asked her "Do you like chocolate cake or chocolate fondue?"

Here's what I got back:

"Whoa. I wouldn't be able to sleep either until I knew the answer :p I'm a chocolate cake girl! But chocolate fondue is fine too! I almost don't dare to ask, which do you prefer? ;)"

Now this is a girl I hadn't texted or seen for two months, we had two intimate nights (no F-close though) until her grandmother died and she wanted distance. After maybe two more playful texts I was invited over for some fun next week.

You can also split it up into a few texts:

Me: "I need to ask you a serious question "

Her: "What is it? x"

Me: "It's really important and your answer could change everything "

Her: "Ooo really? What is it?! x"

Me: "You sure you want to answer it. Its really important? "

Her: "Yeah I think I do, I'm nervous now x"

Me: "Ok then here goes...........................
