Some girls (including me) prefer shorter guys! Like you said, you can't change it, so own it. For me, dating a shorter guy means that sex is more compatible-I can kiss him, not his nipples. I find tall guys to be intimidating and looming, short guys are just right. If you give most people a chance to challenge their assumptions, they will. I'm sure there's a bunch of positives to being tall, but there are also a bunch for being short!

Your height doesn't matter all that much. In fact, one of my best friends is 5'4" and is married to a beautiful woman who is 6'2". He's a very interesting guy to talk to and doesn't give a shit about how tall he is.

BTW, his pickup line many years ago was "You have to date me, I'm your only chance at having normal sized children."

I'm 5'2", cheers. I too am really hung up on this one lately. I am just trying to embrace it because it is something you cannot change. Attraction is a combination of things so you can make up for it pretty easily in other places. And any girl disqualifying you just because of height is a BITCH anyway. Just remember....

Overall im pretty sure its a huge turn off to girls based on the act that I've been told this to my face.

To a degree, this can be true, but on the other hand, this is a shit test. I thought I had a type, back when I was in high school. My dating life since then has blown that concept out of the water. I've been attracted to and/or involved with women from pretty much every nationality, (EDIT: and body type,) the only common denominator is that they took care of their bodies (were in shape) and had a certain attitude. (And hell, I've even found that there are a variety of different attitudes that I vibe well with.)

A lot of people, men or women, think they know their type, but often, they really don't. All it takes is meeting with one awesome person with the right attitude and then their preconception would be blown out of the water.

Tl;dr. I'm short. It bothers me. How do I stop it from doing so?

Look, of course you're not going to be able to pick up on every girl. No one can really do that. But people, in general, they may have physical characteristics that they favor, but attitude counts for A LOT. You have no way to know whether your attitude could tip the scales in your favor.

But you know what? If you go in assuming that XX% of girls never go for short guys, that attitude alone is going to ensure that you don't put your best foot forward, and you're going to disqualify yourself from a number of girls that would have considered you, if not for the attitude/confidence problem.

I have a buddy who is short too, and he often pulls women taller than he is. He just doesn't give a fuck. What's more, he's really good at getting women to work at validating themselves to HIM. This is attitude. You could have it too. But cut yourself some slack. Rome wasn't built in a day. Just know what this is something you could have. And go make it yours.

guy who is 6'4" here. My roommate is like 5'5" or 5'6" he's pulling more numbers a day then me because he's trying and not caring. I on the other hand find it hard to open/close. No problems with the middle. Own it man. Height is only a factor in your mind. I'm tall as shit and don't pull numbers like my roommate.

I used to be the same height as you when I was 20 (real late bloomer), grew to about 5'10 only to find out that nothing had changed. It's not your height, it's your confidence buddy.

You're right, that is tough. The best thing for you to do, honestly is to look for chicks your height. Yes it limits your pool but you can definitely use it to your advantage. If you meet a chick who's even only slightly taller than you, that can be to your advantage. Girls are used to guys being taller and you'll just have to surprise them. Are you good at drawing? Can you do math hecka good? That's what you need girls to focus on. Also focus on settings where you're sitting, they'll notice less.
