I have been actively in the game for about 3 months. I am a relatively good looking, successful guy who got a wake up call in June. This is my story.

Who I was:

I have been very sexually active in my life, I have had several relationship in my life, they have all ended for a variety of reasons, some my fault, some their fault. As a single guy, I haven't done great, usually could pull drunk girls at the end of the night fairly easily, however getting the HB's and real quality girls wasn't happening. I had terrible approach anxiety, and would over analyze everything. This all came to a stop when I met my ex.

Event:

She was a show stopper. As far as I was concerned, and sadly still to this day, she is perfect. So I applied all of my extensive AFC knowledge to make sure I didn't fuck this relationship up. I bought her expensive gifts, got rid of all my side girls, was completely faithful, treated her right, and waited on her every want and need. And as every relationship on this site goes, it ended. I was cut pretty deep and after I pulled myself out of my own self loathing pathetic black hole I decided to do something about it.

TL:DR: I got butt hurt.

Lessons Learned:

To be truly attractive to women there is a main principal that you should know: Be alpha. That is literally all there is to it. Now this can take several different forms and each one is different and successful in its own respect. I personally like cocky/funny and a lot of James Marshall's/Mark Manson's game. Being alpha to me consists of several key components:

1. Be yourself, and fucking own it. If you are a weird nerdy guy, be the best most confident weird nerdy guy in existence.

2. Be interesting. Dabble in all different types of hobbies, know what the fuck you are talking about, and educate yourself on what you find interesting, so that way when you meet a girl with similar interests you can hold a conversation, or transition from a topics into your interests.

3. Be EDIT "Outcome independent". The most successful night I have had recently is when I go out to have good conversations, have fun and meet new people. Yes I'm also looking for girls, but that doesn't make or break my night, if I get a number or take a girl home that's great, but that's now how I'm keeping score.

4. Get rid of approach anxiety. Its stupid but necessary. Do whatever it takes, learn lines, patterns, practice in a mirror, practice on guys, practice on your Dennys waitress. Just get rid of any fear of going up and striking up a conversation with a girl.

5. Be considerate. Be yourself but also look out for those around you, friends, strangers and the girls you are with. Some call this the campground principal, but it goes a long way in creating a solid relationship. Humans need social acceptance and approval to be happy, but make sure its from the right people. Don't bend over backwards, or buy girls extravagant stuff if it doesn't mesh with who you are, but helping others who care about you and being reliable puts you at the top of the alpha list in my book.

Lesson 2:

Girls are all different. Some will be attracted to you, some wont. Some will have similar hobbies, some will like the same kind of music. Be OK with all of those. Don't modify yourself to fit one girls profile. If any person gives you a relationship/seduction tip that is "one size fits all" they are automatically full of shit. There are a handful of girls out there looking for a guy just like you. There exist skinny nerds, dumb jocks, and successful good looking guys with tiny wieners, who have happy relationships because they found a girl who is looking for that exact type of guy.

Method:

Ways to become an alpha starts with self improvement. After my break up my therapist made me write 30 things I liked about myself. After continually working on myself for about 2 months I came to a conclusion. I am fucking awesome. I am interesting, I am happy with who I am, what my hobbies are, who my friends are, what my goals are, and that is what matters. The biggest change I have noticed in myself is that I no longer grade myself based on the opinions of others but I compare my actions to the actions of who I want to be, and that is a much more accurate and fair scale. For the first time in my life I am truly happy with who I am. I am working on myself and developing my character because I want to, not for some girl, or the approval of my parents or friends.

I think this is what the seduction community is all about, making better quality guys, and through this you become more attractive.

Results:

I am 1/3 of the way to conquering my oneitis(12 girl mark), I have built good relationships with a few of them, I have ditched my negative friends and surrounded myself with more positive people who I enjoy being around. I have gotten shot down dozens of times, but for the first time I don't care, I enjoyed the challenge, and am proud of my progress. I am in better shape, I am looking to move to a place I want to be, and I am less bogged down by nonsensical problems.

Most importantly I am happier.
