Hello seddit!

I want to be straight to the point: I can't understand the cause of my approach anxiety.

I've been trying for years to conquer this fear, but I cannot understand where it comes from.

I do not fear rejection. If a girls says no, then she doesn't want me. No problem, I don't want somebody who doesn't want me.

I do not think that girls are some kind of super-human/angelic beings. I know that they are (or could be, at least) as clueless, anxious, scared, horny and whatever else as me.

I do know that girls like talking(like everybody) and when somebody approaches them and -even if I get rejected- I improve someone's day by approaching.

I do not drop on the ground when I need to speak with women. I can have normal conversations, but I couldn't start one if my life had depended on it.

I do not fear other guys laughing at me for failing. Besides that I don't know anybody who's such a dick. But if I did, well, I wouldn't care about said person and therefore his laughter wouldn't be much of an issue.

I do know that there is nothing to fear from approaching women. I tried analyze my thoughts to search the cause of my fear (look at (this)[https://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/1upn0b/the_cure_to_approach_anxiety_according_to/] post to understand what I mean) and I found out that there was nothing to fear.

I've tried to consider my anxiety as some kind of excitement and to embrace it to give me energy. I tried, but all I can feel is a mix of anger ("I can't even say hello ffs") and suffering (psychological, obviously)

Despite all my efforts, I can't seem to overcome this. When I tell myself "hey, that chick is really cute!" I can't bring myself to go there and say "hello!". I have no reason not to, but I still can't. I understand all the reasons for which I should, but something that goes beyond my understanding roots me.

Please, don't tell me about the 3 seconds rule or about "just do it, motherfucker", because none of these work. Before I even think, my thoughts automatically start focus on how I am afraid to approach. I am an overthinker by nature, I can't just "not think about it". When a bad thought gets fixed in my mind, there's nothing I can do to cast it away.

What can I do to help myself?

PS: I would be really happy if somebody had the patience to listen to me a bit via PM for a while, probably having someone to speak to would make me feel a little better.
