I'm convinced it should only be treated as a fun supplement to a healthy social life. And here's why:

  • I spend time on my profile, I'm average in nearly every respect, and I end up doing okay. Few gals a month. Pretty good for sitting on your ass.

  • But this doesn't take me out of my comfort zone. It's not all that fear inducing. It doesn't make me more emotionally strong.

And I had an experience on NYE that really blew my mind. I went out to drink and have a good time with two couples. They asked me if I cared, I said "Screw girls, tonight I just wanna dance." I had big 2016 glasses on and tiara that said "Happy new year" I drank and I did pelvic thrusts into the air at the crowded piano bar.

I did no approaching.

I got approached at least 6 or 7 times.

An older lady did the grind on me and had me grab her boob. Fun.

And the most interesting moment of the night it when this gal want her friend to take a picture with me. We snapped the picture and then she hung around to make small talk. This was the moment. And what did I do? I biffed it. I knew of no way to make the best of the situation. And I knew she wanted me to. And the thing is, this girl would have ignored me online. I wouldn't have made it through all the mess. Not just that, my confidence wouldn't have projected through a computer like it did with those pelvic thrusts at the bar.

So fuck online dating. You're given the opportunities in your offline life, if you can't close shit, you are shit, hit the bricks pal.

2016 goals, no online crap until I've already talked to a new woman that day in real life.
