If you don't want to disconnect your phone from the car in case an actual important message comes through, I guess you have two options: (1) tell her you're seeing other women, which is the truth or (2) tell her Andrea is just a friend, which is a lie. You could also just dodge the question entirely by joking, something along the lines of "Oh, Andrea is my wife" which would hopefully generate some laughter and a little bit of roleplay, and unless the girl you're with is very high-maintenance I guess she won't re-ask the question.

If you get several messages from different women I suppose you're back to the two original options because at that point the jokes would portray some serious insecurity about you (i.e. you can't be straight with her).

Also, you could just say "She's someone I saw a few times", implying that you actually do have options but not that you necessarily are dating several women at the same time.

Dude it's easier to just be honest and let her know it's an open relationship at first, then move into being exclusive. If you lie from the beginning she'll never trust you. Nobody is going to commit to a relationship if they think you'll cheat.

What’s wrong with seeing more than one woman at the time? I don’t expect my dates to be exclusive unless she’s kind of psycho-jealous type. If she is, well, it’s a good thing it has come up early so you can end it up right away! It’s in the dating period, and if you get to know each other are well enough to get exclusive, it will be because you both feel like it, not because one “asked you to”.

It’s totally fine to see other people, to have female friend and if a woman doesn’t accept that, she is showing a high level of neediness, a lack of confidence, of independence, and those should be “flags” for men as well. You don’t wana end up with a needy, dependant woman! She will suck the life out of you, and not in a good way!
