Need serious help with text game. Any guidelines?

I don't know what else to tell you; it seems like you already have zeroed in on the problem:

I get excited. I reply. I actually enjoy the conversation. Forget about "being mysterious" and "not being too available" and reply to her fairly quickly.

Which leads to...

I text something which either turns her off, makes her lose interest, or I come across too direct. Girl stops replying.

The more you try to have a conversation with her over text, the more likely you are to have this problem.

Obviously! And you already spelled it out! You are talking too much. As Corey Wayne would say, you talked her right out of liking you.

In my opinion, being "too busy" is a lie. The way I see it, the person most likely saw your text. You just weren't a high enough priority to reply back.

You have two options: You either genuinely make your mission a higher priority than responding to them immediately. Or you need to start lying to yourself so you believe that is, and that you are too busy - you know, "fake it till you make it".

You don't need a new mindset, because it seems like you already know what to do. Your problem is that you don't have the self-control to listen to yourself and what you already know.

So for the next week or two, focus on not allowing yourself to be distracted. When you go to school, you are there to focus on your studies - responding to texts is a distraction. When you are working on your online business, you are there to help your business grow - responding to texts is a distraction. When you are out with friends, you are there to socialize with people who are physically with you - responding to texts is a distraction. And when you aren't doing any of those other things that make up your purpose/mission, THEN and only then do you have time to respond to texts.

You, and the things you are doing to improve yourself, should have higher priority than the women you are texting for the purpose of setting up a date.

Just off the screenshot it looks like you are too vague. Asking what you missed and to tell you something exciting leaves her having to come up with the question and answer. If you have real interest in the person, you ought to be able to specify something you're curious about. If she's in school, what's she studying? Cool, what are your plans with that? Where do you want that to take you in life? Don't let interest fizzle with those meaningless back and forths. Either progress the conversation or leave it.

That whole “k never mind” guess not” because you didn’t get an answer in the amount of time you wanted shit is CORNY! It comes off only as passive aggressive and needy/clingy, it’s unattractive. Dudes gotta stop that nonsense.

The whole act busy thing is counterproductive seeing as you’re texting chicks from dating apps.

I do the same which is why I have to start to force myself to take a while to respond, even if it's fake. I recently had a girl who ended things with me partly because I always wanted to talk to her I think (she didn't say it but I suspect it), so now I'm forcing myself to take time regardless. Plus, I mostly use texting to set up dates at this point because otherwise I run out of things to talk about and it turns into a "how's it going?" "good" conversation.

I don't really believe in "texting game". I always get the girl to invest in person. Then texting is just used to set up dates. Here's an example of my typical text conversations:

Her: Sarah. Let's hang out some time!
Me: What's your schedule like this week
Her: Oh well, I'm busy Tuesday and Thursday, but Monday I'm pretty free :).
Me: Haha well let's hang Monday at 8PM, I'll pick you up. What do you say
Her: Ok! Sounds good!

Simple, quick, and direct. Not too much emotion required. Response time: 5-10 minutes. There's no "game" here. That was all done in person.

Alright, i do the same. I can peform in person, but i cant keep a girl interested over text for shit. Hoenstly talk to her for a little (like a few texts, then just ask her if she wants to hangout irl. Dont just have purposeless conversations over text, the goal of texting is to meet up IRL, not to charm her. Like I said before, start the conversation up with a joke, then ask her if she wants to see a movie or grab coffe.

Small distinction to make here. You don't "get" girls to invest. What is happening is that you're connecting and having a mutually good interaction.

but when it comes to texting and keeping them engaged (aka still interested in me) I'm terrible.

The issue is self-doubt. If a girl interested you when you met her, does SHE need to constantly text to keep you interested? No.

By continually sending texts to try to keep her interested, all you're doing is convincing her that she was wrong about you. It is revealing you to be insecure.

Even with all this I can always find time to reply to someone. You're exaggerating if you can't find a couple seconds to reply to a text.

What you're doing here is distorting truth. If you're constantly checking your phone for personal messages, that is time that you are derailing from whatever it is you do throughout the day.

Can one constantly distract themselves to check their phone? Sure. But if you're having this much issue with it, what you ought to do is consider cutting yourself off. Put your phone in Airplane Mode and set aside time at breakfast, lunch, and dinner to check personal messages.

If you can't prioritize your personal life with respect to your professional endeavors, it will present as if you are willing to drop everything at any time, to answer messages. Which too easily looks like a lack of self-respect, regardless of what you might intend.

You can argue against this all you want, but it won't change facts.

So WHY are you making your argument again? You seem to acknowledge that your current position is flawed.

Here, the BS becomes evident in your argument that anyone should be able to "find a couple of seconds" to reply to a text. At that point when you're having a back and forth, you're NOT talking about a couple of seconds, are you? At that point, it's a situation that demands your full attention; dropping everything else.

theres not much point to putting effort into text unless youve already met up and its clear shes attracted to you. just do what you can to schedule a date, if shes flaky then try using humor then reschedule, if that doesnt work be more sexually forward and try to schedule, if that doesnt work then wait a weke amd try again, if that doesnt work then basically think of it as probably a lost cause but keep her number in ur phone
