It works infinitely better than not going for it, I know that much!

There's nothing wrong with awkward, there will always be awkward moments when you're getting out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself. Call it out! "I know this might be a bit awkward since we're strangers now, but I'm awesome and you're awesome, so I'm sure we'll look back at this awkward moment some day and decide it was worth it to meet another person as awesome as I am!" Or something along those lines.

In regards to seeing her everyday if she rejects you, who gives a fuck? Even if she thinks you're a total creep and hates you to your core, you know that you went for what you want in life, you showed some fucking balls and took a chance, which is more than you can say for most of these poor schmucks in our society! Use it as a confidence booster - who cares what her reaction is, you took action! Or, you can walk by her a few more times and continuously build up the self-loathing until that becomes your life.

In my experience, 'just going for it' and literally walking over and saying whatever comes to your mind is good to beat approach anxiety, but the actual interaction itself is more awkward this way if I have nothing planned to say/talk about. It just gets awkward fast, lol. Whatever 'comes to my mind' is always the exact same, boring conversation. Hi! What's your name? How old are you? what are you up too? and then im done, lol.

If you go for it and it doesn’t work out, what would the consequences be outside of the immediate rejection? When you take a step back you can see that you’re really not risking anything by approaching.

Even if she just blows you out of the water, what would actually happen? You might make awkward eye contact once a week, but like honestly wtf does that matter.

Rejection always feels bad, but being rejected puts you in the same position you are in now. Your chances are at 0% until you talk to her

Only awkward if you make it awkward. Just laugh about it and chase other tail. It wouldn’t be awkward if you didn’t care about it so much. She isn’t the only girl in the world. If you get rejected, always react positively and stay positive after.

Even if she rejects you and you get to see her everyday, it doesn’t matter and just pretend like she doesn’t even exist. You will actually feel great about yourself when you see her get uncomfortable every time she sees you and how silly she acts when she tries to get you to acknowledge her and you still don’t. Most important part is to never acknowledge her.

I did this once and I shit you not one of her friends that is way hotter than her chased me and asked me out a few months later.

If you go for it and get shut down, laugh it off. It won't be awkward afterwards unless you make it awkward.

Even if she gives you "I have a boyfriend" etc just laugh it off, "Yeah me too but I think he's gay" or something along those lines. That way you can still continue to talk to her in class, other girls see you talking to her. You can make a friend and still use her as a hinge to improve your status to other girls.

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

The answer is yes, but action alone is not quite the whole picture. I'll elaborate.

The key is, you must be paying attention. David Wygant has an excellent summary of paying attention. This is simple. You MUST be paying attention to the world around you. It's not about coming up with "the right thing" to say. It's about paying attention and using what you see. Commenting on it. Etc.

Another important piece is that you can't have expectations. So probably you should consider that this isn't a girl you should talk to unless you can RID yourself of any need to get a particular thing from that interaction.

It works better than not going for it. I kick myself a lot for not going after great girls cuz I was shy. Last month a girl who was a 10 and in med school hit on me and I froze and just walked away.I have blown so many chances in my life and regret it badly. The only time I get the balls to ask a girl out is if Im horny and want to just bang. When I get horny I get so much courage..
