Gender ratio does. If you lived in say a 53% male place and moved to a 53% female place it makes a huge difference.

I think you should have done well in Atlanta. There is a huge female surplus, and lack of educated (aka -successful) men. On the negative side, it's more conservative and traditional to work against casual sex.

However the Northeast USA is the most casual. Again women outnumber men, but they are also liberated, successful and educated... Meaning they can fuck for fun and not to find a bread winner.

Like in real estate, location is often the 2 or 3rd factor in having opportunities to attract women.

And yes, many of the resident PUA specialists would indeed be 'shocked' at the dynamics of Atlanta and really large segments of the southern US landscape when it comes to mating. It really is like the bizarro world of self improvement and dating where the ass, racists, slob and borderline retard billy bob is the top of the pyramid. I feel sorry for some of the young dudes my extended family stuck in these places.

Southern women are in a frame of mind where the dynamics of high school dating never, ever ends......they basically fuck for societal prestige more over most other factors..........for many it carries right thrucollege into the sorority\fraternity community and unbelievably to most of the dudes here who are from true metropolitan urban areas even after college....in the Atlanta party scene, the frat society never really goes away until the girls are in their 30s. When I lived a time there after college, I met girls who were 24 or 25 who only considered guys who attended UGA or Auburn....and they were still looking for that Kappa Sig or Phi Alpha.

It was a revelation moving and work traveling to Fort Worth, Santa Monica and Seattle where you suddenly are meeting five different eager women on consecutive nights....I was almost suspicious that it could be so easy, thinking maybe they were scamming me.

I think the location and you have gotten better too. NYC, Miami, and LA (plus surrounding cities) are considered the best spots to game. I've also heard the Hawaiian islands are great. I personally hate winter so I am thinking about moving to either Miami or LA or the islands. I need more diversity, more high calibre girls, these are the hotspots.

Big thing to note is that areas like nyc have a much larger mix of people from all around the country and world. So you're dealing with people from Ny, Georgia, Virginia, Texas, Boston.

In essence it's a numbers and variety thing.

I lived in Atlanta and Detroit. I'm a decent looking white guy with good social skills. Never had a problem in either place nor did I find Atlanta any more difficult than up north. I approached and met quality women in Buckhead, Midtown, etc. without too many over the top rejections. I think it's more your frame and being out of your comfort zone. It's not the location that's easier, it's you who have responded to your circumstances and built real confidence. Keep it up!

City people can be "closed up" or selfish or just exhausted with social interaction because there is sooo much of it. This can come off as rude, disinterested, aloof. I struggle sometimes just to have a spontaneous conversation with strangers here on Long Island. I feel many people just want to be left alone. Cool, whatever. But when I travel up-state (north of the city) I find people to be measurably more receptive to conversation.
I lived in LA for a few years - to be adventurous. You would think that with all the people that live there I would have no problem meeting interesting people. It was the loneliest experience of my life. But I was also pretty poor so that might have been a factor too.

I found the most success in Atlanta with transplants post college. Places like Buckhead are incredibly cliquey with The Ivy being the perfect example. Breaking into those social groups is key.

I'd imagine women are more independent in NYC hence your higher success rate.

Northern areas tend to have a higher rates of intelligence. Has nothing to do with race, but perhaps women in the cities you’ve moved to are more compatible in that regard. I live in Arkansas, and the stereotype is true. 2-3 out of the 5 women I meet here smoke, wear a red patterned sleeve shirt, or deter me with unintelligible conversation. The only people I’ve ever clicked with in the area are interestingly not from Arkansas.

You can't really compare NYC to other cities. More than anywhere else, I've found NYC has a large concentration of single women of varying ages who don't have a lot of friends. That independence IMO leads many to embrace dating in a way that women constrained by social circles don't.

Regarding Atlanta, I've visited but never lived there. I got a strong impression that dating would probably improve for a lot of guys once they got out of their 20s. When I was there most women under 30 who were single seemed heavy into a social circle and generally the same one from college. Over 30, as with many cities, social circles then out and many people are left almost friendless.

FWIW, I grew up in the midwest but live in NC now and I think a big difference is people in the south seem to be afraid of strangers, unless those strangers fit their social group. Maybe it's because I'm black but I've had more than one white knight friend ask was I bothering their friend, despite us both being engaged in the conversation. That's never happened up north.

Like I said I've never lived in Atlanta, but at least in Raleigh one thing I notice is a lot of younger women being far more selective than they should be and sometimes that manifests itself as outright rudeness.

What is strange is I would see uglier and chubby white guys with hot white girls and wonder what happened.

All guys need to get past this. As a black guy it used to irk the shit out of me to see women, especially well educated black women, with thugged out guys. At some point I realized that I had no idea why and it was useless to think that them choosing that due and not me was personal. I also started to realize that I was better off without those women. There's a good chance that that chubby guy with the hot girlfriend is far from happy in life. It seems that at least here, a lot of white guys punch way above their weight but I rarely hear any of them not complaining after a while about what their wife/girlfriend won't do or how entitled she's acting.

This is so bizarre to me. I'm 27 years old, I've lived in the city of Hamilton in Ohio my entire life, and ironically, I've noticed that whenever I travel to the southeastern portion of the United States, I get the results you're getting. As a matter of fact, Ohio has some of the most unpleasant, picky, superficial, and pathetic women I've came across. I can't speak for New York City, but I've been to Columbus, Ohio as well, and noticed the same thing.

Whenever I go down south(to Tennesse, Georgia, Alabama, and sometimes Florida), I see girls having fun, are open to being approaches, and I meet women who are genuine. Literally the polar opposite of what you are experiencing.

I have no idea what to make of this.
