I disagree with the guy telling you texting is only for setting up dates. That's something to start with if you get too eager and clingy. Texting her in between dates is fine if you don't do it every 5 minutes. It doesn't even have to be everyday. I have a girlfriend now but I made a rule for myself that for new girls, I wouldn't text them outside my lunch break or just wait until after work. That way, you don't look too clingy and give some breathing room vs. smothering the person.

This can all obviously change as the relationship progresses but that's the general idea I have. I've never been the best at text game since I get anxious myself thinking about when to text and what to text a girl after a date/in between dates so she doesn't forget or cool off about me, but in the end, it really does just come down to her liking you. If she likes you and there is chemistry, it doesn't matter much.

No small talk between dates unless she initiates it. The phone is for setting dates. A lot of women will be turned off if you don’t escalate once they’ve given a non verbal cue that they’re open and will be receptive to it.

I’m close friends with a woman who also uses tinder and we discuss this all the time. She’ll show me the attractive dudes she’s matched and chatted with but when they don’t show interest and confidence in making a move - her attraction level drops. She’s a very attractive woman that gets a lot of matches. Personally, she’s not my type but she’s a lot of dude’s type.

Don't text if you have a date set. It builds anticipation which is exactly what you want. Make her call you to confirm or whatever. That's all a good thing. They want to chase and wonder what you think. Girls are more attracted to guys whose feelings are more ambiguous. In the first couple months, you want to build as much anticipation as possible by not talking on the phone too much (calls/texts/snaps etc)

In this case, you are assuming she's coming and showing confidence, just solidifying the time she will show up.

For the love of God, ignore the dude telling you not to text her. This “let her chase you” mentality is bullshit. That’s why he’s single. It’s not a game.

I am a female. Text the girl. “Hey, how’s it goin’?” is perfect. Maintain communication here and there to show you’re still interested.

A whole week is rough. I probably still wouldn't contact until the day of the date just to confirm that we're still meeting up. If she contacted me though I would reply but I'd leave her on read after a few replies.
