Most of you know my story; 41yo, lost my v-card in my teens, been gaming for nearly three decades...

I was having a conversation with an 19yo male co-worker about women/sex/dating, and offered him some advice. A female co-worker asked me what makes me think I know so much about women and I basically broke down my life experiences and explained "I've been meeting and dating women for over 20yrs. By now, I should damn well know what I'm talking about."

Which made me think about my experience and how back when I first got into the dating scene, there wasn't much PUA information out there. The vast majority of my experience came from trial and error, refining my skills and techniques, and improving with time and a lot of practice.

But now, with PUA becoming psuedo-mainstream, and the avalanche of guides, videos, and literature available, it's like having an open book test where finding the solution is easier and doesn't require "learning" the subtles intricacies of the lifestyle.

All of which made me wonder...

Is having sources like r/seduction and the like that beneficial, or does it detract from the small "Ah-ha!" moments that come from figuring out the puzzle for yourself?
