Plan is make the coffee bullshit shorter, after you both finish what you're eating and drinking (during this time try to be playful or flirt) then try to suggest going to a park/calm place where not so much people are around but not completely empty/creepy... Then walk, then try to sit down on a bench, continue flirting, make the conversation more interesting and playful.. then if you think it's the time lean in for a kiss.

Some girls don't do kiss on the 1st date or so.. Goodluck!

Tell her you read palms and to give you her hand. Stare at it for a minute. Then look her in the eyes, laugh and say you were kidding, you just wanted to hold her hand.

And gently keep holding it, and keep looking her in the eyes.

In my experience, a coffee date is 99% interview and 1% date. Historically, it’s been chosen purposely as a non threatening environment.

Hug her when you see her. Touch her arm and shoulder at some point early on, if you can rub her back that's good. Take her hand and hold it at some point when you are sitting together. It may seem completely random but it's something you should do to communicate physical intentions. If she is comfortable with these things, and you are too you can move forward if not then don't worry about it.

Touch her hand or something if she is cool with it then for next date do something that is less what other person described as an interview so you have more opportunity for escalation. Or with you are a mad lad and its going well with the hand touch where you see you can do more make an excuse and invite her over to your place, you can't really do it at a coffee shop unless its verbally.

It's almost as bad as movies unless you're expert.

Sit next to her if possible, so if there's a row of benches that helps, or if its a small table with 4 chairs then the one next to her.

Best is if you get the coffee as takeaway and walk around a park or something. Realistically there's only so much you can do in a public bright place that's not a nightclub.

Maybe start at the coffee place and then suggest to just take the coffee to go and go for a walk and then you could sit on a bench or something. There probably is more opportunity since you remove the physical barrier of a table, and it opens other avenues to escalate
