In social hierarchies, men tend to act in only a few different ways.

The way they behave and their mindset corresponds to their place in the hierarchy.

Depending on how women perceive your place in the hierarchy, she'll treat you fundamentally differently.

Alpha

Alphas are the leaders of men. They take up the most attention due to their position of power or authority. Often times, alpha-hood is contextual. A dance instructor, for example, is typically an alpha in the environment where he is teaching. But he might not be an alpha in other situations.

From an evolutionary standpoint, alphas are the ideal mate. Their children have the best chances of success. Hence, women are universally attracted to men who exhibit alpha traits such as assertiveness, self assuredness, and status.

Sigma

Sigmas operate outside of the hierarchy but are nonethless successful.

They'll avoid direct confrontation with alphas, but they won't easily accept a role as a follower.

They are 'lone wolves,' so to speak.

Sigmas will typically excel at daygame as opposed to club game, and they are better at carrying out flings than long term relationships.

They prioritize freedom above all else. When they are successful and happy, they can be quite alluring.

Beta

Betas are the work horses of society. They pride themselves on following the rules and acting as they're told.

This often hurts them. They'll pursue relationships based on mainstream advice, even in the face of evidence which shows alphas and sigmas do better with women.

Their main strategy is to accumulate enough resources and to enter a relationship as a provider.  This is acceptable to some women who are looking for stability instead of passion. Betas frequently get cheated on, broken up with, or simply endure shitty relationships.

Gamma

Gammas are embittered losers. They resent their lower status. Instead of taking responsibility for their own life, they frequently blame others.

Outwardly, the seem insecure and frequently put others down. Conversely, they may act like a beta followers while simultaneously looking for ways to undermine and hurt anyone they see as above them.

Avoid at all cost

Omega

Omegas are losers who quit trying. They've been beaten down so much, that they simply accept their low status. While omegas won't look for ways to backstab you like gammas, you won't derive any benefit from spending time with them.

Because of their permanently low status, they're basically invisible to women. Any of their attempts at romance are labeled as creepy.

As with any archetypal analysis, these are only approximate descriptions. In addition, it is unlikely the one person will only fit into one type at all times.

Nonetheless, it should be clear that it is primarily alpha and sigma behaivors that are effective in pick up and game, and that having a beta, gamma, or omega behavior and mindset is a losing strategy.
