I’m 24 and in my first ever relationship. My boyfriend is incredibly sweet and he’s been pretty respectful about my wishes (which included my desire to save myself till marriage). And so far the relationship seems healthy and stable. When I first met him he was searching for a job because the company from his previous job got bough out. Even though he didn’t have a job in the beginning dates he still offered to pay, now I do 50/50 sometimes because I’m offering. He ended up getting a job in a supermarket and is complaining quite a lot recently about being broke, and I can’t help but feel turned off by that. I wasn’t brought up super rich but I was definitely at least comfortable or safe. I’m feeling very confused about the relationship as I don’t see a future for me with someone who can’t provide for me a life at least similar to what I had back home, but it’s still too early to say that as it’s only been three months. How can I be rational about this?
